I don't think I can cope with much more anxiety!!

Posted , 6 users are following.

Ive been on 150mg of Sertraline for 3 weeks now, it is hideous & I don't think I can take much more of the terrible anxiety, my husband says I'm all over the place, & must go back to the docs. But I'm scared too, as I desperately have to get off these hideous tablets but am frightened of more side affects. I have never been this bad in my life with anxiety it's beginning to consume me. I don't know how much more I can take.

I'm on day 3 of 50mg of sertraline and i feel so much better,i've been so unwell for a year with severe panic attacks, palpitations and headaches it got so bad I didn't leave the house unless absolutely necessary and was at the hospital weekly with my symptoms I honestly thought i had a brain tumour or something terrible like that. My docs prescribed me two 5mg diazepam a day to take just while my body gets used to sertraline as i have terrible insomnia(which i've had for years). Previously before starting on sertraline they put me on propranolol and it made my symptoms even worse,i hope it works for you if not ur doctor can try something else,I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy stay positive things will get better xx

You poor thing,it's a terrible illness and your right people don't understand, keep coming on here it's very reassuring to get some advice I do believe sertralin is good but because we don't feel better straight away we doubt it,I have thought of nothing else last night apart from do I stick with the 100mg or go back down to 50mg but this morning I just took the 100mg hope your having a better day xx

I think we should all ban together and call ourselves the crazy club, kinda like the breakfast club just we are all a little more medicated . Hope that puts a smile on a few faces .think we all need a good laugh now and then.

I'm feeling much calmer the diazepam has certainly helped me, every other day I'm doing 150mg now, so it's not such a shock to the system, I'm not at work this week & my boss & colleges that I work with are being incredibly supportive, this all helps. I know I will get there just being patient is the key!! X
