    Hi all,

im 51 in Feb, I started the menopause around the age of 40.

my last period was around 3 years ago, the last few months I have been feeling like my body is dying, I do a very trying job, on my feet from 7am to 4.30 in a warehouse with 26 year old young men, I am so so tired all the time I am forgetful I use both hands on the rails to walk up the stairs and go so slow now, I have zero energy and the last couple of weeks I have felt so so ill I actually walked out of work today, I am fogg6 headed all the time I feel like I’m out of it, out of my body, I am very very tearful now and shaky feeling inside, I think this is all bought on b6 the fact that I want an easier job, I cannot cope with that and the menopause, I am getting so worked up as I was a personal trainer only 6 years ago so why now am I feeling as though I am dying and getting upset over it, thiking more and more my body is dying on me, my legs feel heavy and to me, look very big now,

i really have got it in my head that there is something else going on but when reading your posts I see the similarity. I am on penopauce, omega 3 iron rose hip vit B complex every day and am on my second day of wellsprings serenity cream. What more can I do, 8 feel like my life is dwindling away and I can’t turn it around xx

Dearest Angie, sorry to hear what you have been going through. I wondered if you could take up some sick leave or use up some annual leave to rest your body a bit. I feel your pain. Perhaps if you give your body a break from all that climbing up&down and all the rest of it, then your body may cope with it better. Take good care and REST as much as you can. X

      Hi,

thank you, i am looking for a new job, it’s hard but I will get one eventually.

my symptoms are weird and I have read about HRT and it mainly points to easing sweats.

So what can we do about foggy head, lethargic all the time, lack of ooomph. depressed feelings.

how can we tackle these symptoms then,

why oh why do us women have to go through this, childbirth, mothers duties lol, then menopause.

Hi Ladies. Yes we are not alone, however at the time its living in hell and feel alone. Yes i have and still do have all the symptoms from time to time, I am 50 and have not had a period in 5 years. In the beginning, it was total hell for everyone else around me. I did not understand why i was so depressed and aggressively  i might add. The night sweats and memory loss have been the worse, my moods have gotten better and i have found that eating better most certainly helps. But the weight gain, i can eat healthy, i will gain, i can eat badly, i will gain, i exercise, no change, no execise no change. So i have given up the diet and only eat healthy and treat myself once a week, i have and occasional glass of wine and a whiskey and water perhaps on the week end. The hot flashes , i just take as it comes. Yes i do get all the dizziness, pain in the ear. I shrug it off coz i know tomorrow, it will be something else. I have got to the stage, so let it be, so when i am really feeling terrible, i put on some music and start dancing......... Ladies, it is not forever, ( although it feels like it) We are all still beautiful. Even if you dont feel like it. YES YOU ARE.

Hi Natalie that's what worries me because my poor mother used to feel those hot flushes all the time for her lifetime... I didn't know what it was and she would say she felt she was burning up inside... Now I am pretty sure the menopause/ hormones to blame and I wish I had known but I hadn't started it so did not know... I am 51 and last period was 2 years ago so does that mean I am I menopause now? Dr. said a year ago I was but I am only getting all these symptoms now? Don't get it??

Hi I have been reading all your responses. I am a solo mum aged 44 and I think I am going through menopause. I "think" I have been going through peri menopause since I had my third child at age 37. I spent my last pregnancy with aching joints and low energy and hot flushes through the pregnancy, after the pregnancy and I put it down to hormones of pregnancy and breastfeeding until I realized they were not going away. I would sweat especially around the chest/breast area and feel hot in my neck, head and arms. The last few months I have started getting this odd heat down my arms and legs and will start having my heart flutter and will feel weird and not sure if it is a fainting feeling or not. These moments last a few minutes at a time only but they freak me out. I also get night sweats and  last month I had two periods in one month, I have never had that. Now this month its a very light period. I crave sugar, I am losing my apetite one minute then the next stuffing my face. My body hurts all the time, I had a migraine about a month and a half ago and I know its hormonal as I only get migraines related to hormones eg. when I went into labour with my last, when I stopped breastfeeding etc. I have had blurred vision and feel like I always have a bit of a migraine. Does this all sound like menopause to you? I am terrified, I am doing it all alone so would be good to have somewhere to chat.

It is very typical of MY menopause if that makes you feel any better! I get the heart flutter too. Palpitations and PVCs are more common during Peri and menopause. Mine get worse with stress or fatigue. I started taking a very low dose of Metoprolol for it because for a few days it was happening constantly. I also have SVT which is a harmless arrhythmia that can get worse with meno.  I’m told it’s benign and does not indicate heart trouble. I just try to remind myself of this when I get worked up over it! I also gave widespread body pain and sinus trouble. All exacerbated since meno 18 months ago.

Hello, you just described my life. 50 YO. I finally had hysterectomy(still have ovaries)7 weeks ago. So far the only benefits are no horrible periods, no low iron, and no menstrual cramping/pelvic pain. I am a pharmacist and my Dr. has been very open with trying different hormone therapy. Estrogen makes me worse.  She is going to do a testosterone pellet implant next week. I am praying this works as I am running out of options. Reading all of the stories on here make me feel like I am not alone.

Hi lu.... Wishing you well now.... Just wondering in what way does estrogen not agree with you?

Hi. I'm at a loss as to what is wrong with me, one nurse I saw told me that I had discribed hot flushes exactly when I told her how I felt and also my periods have become lighter and shorter. I saw my gp and had alot of blood tests done they all came back normal including one to check hormones. My pill has been changed to see if that helps me to feel better and am making records of how I feel. I have both flushes, and nights where I sweat and wake up feeling clammy and sweaty, not pleasant. Also feel sick and have been sick on some days, my stomach feels bloated and some times feel I'm full when I haven't eaten much, get heartburn/indigestion, I'm irritable, very tired, I get headaches which no tablets can shift, and my back gets so achy and recently it seems like all of me is achy my wrists hurt in the bones it feels like and my knees I can't really crouch down and get up by myself I have to hold on to something, have tender breasts, I always had quite heavy periods that lasted about 5-6 days then they have been getting lighter and shorter over last 8 months, my cramps near my period are alot worse. The doctor doesn't seem to know what it is so I'm left doing a record, I asked if menopause has been ruled out and been told no but still no further forward.Sorry for the rambling. Xx

Hi Tanya.  I feel your pain with the bloating and indigestion and just feeling generally unwell...  I also have pain between the shoulder blades, achy breasts off and on.  How old are you?  And how long have you been going through this?

Hi I feel rather stupid in a way because I'm only 32 nearly 33 and when the nurse mentioned it and the doctor say she can't rule it out I thought that's ridiculous I'm too young. But just seem to get alot of the symptoms and no answers.

      Hello Tanya62024,

Have you gotten any diagnoses as yet. Im going through the same thing at 38. Im planning to see a gyno who specializes in menopause as my current gyno doesnt believe its peri.

I cardiologist and neurologist thinks im going through anxiety. Mightbe but too many peri symptoms.
