Hi Kim I feel the same way , I have been in menopause for about 5 years. I feel like dying to. I have had so many of the symptoms and I feel like I’m going to have a nervous breakdown. My whole family is falling apart because of this, I feel like I can’t even function anymore. I would love to some how get in touch with you because I think it helps when you can talk to somebody that is going through the same thing as you.

I did have a breakdown. The symptoms got so bad and my anxiety made me quit my job and I did nothing but stay home and obsess over my health and have panic attacks. I went into the hospital which was a waste of 7 days because all they wanted to do was fill me with antidepressants and every other med they could find that might fit my diagnosis of anxiety and depression because there was nothing physically wrong with me according to them and they did not even address the menopause symptoms at all. that didnt make sense to me. I then went into an IOP program afterwards which was better and I did learn a lot about coping and had CBT therapy but I could have done that without the in patient stay. I was a mess for about 6 months until the symptoms started to kinda decline a little. I also changed my diet and started taking natural supplements. It has gotten at least 70% better although I still have anxiety and panic attacks, palpitations, stomach upsets,, insomnia, dizziness and hot flashes, the hot flashes are declining now. I cannot handle any stress and cry at the drop of a hat and I am so dang tired of it. i'll go for a couple weeks feeling ok and then BLAMO the symptoms hit me and knock me down again. I am hopeful for the reason that I can tell they are lessening but there is almost like a climax to the symptoms before the hormones start to even out again, thats the only way I can describe it. Time and patience, a good therapist and diet and making the decision about HRT and other meds or supplements if your like me and refuse to take pharma meds. Best of luck and def undestand what your going through im 52 and started peri at 42. my symptoms and hormones went haywire at 49-52 hamg in there I am seeing evidence that it gets better.

      Hello Tanya,

I am only 31 years old ( 32 in summer) and I have all menopause symptoms on a daily basis for the last 2 years....

I have everything on the list ( insomnia, hot flashes, heart palpitations, itching, fatigue, joint and bone pains on my knees, elbows, ankles, back etc)

I have visited many kinds of doctors and no help at all until now...I have an appointment with my gyno  next week because I cannot bear the symptoms anymore.

The only thing that I have been officially diagnosed is bile reflux and bile gastritis...I have many digestive issues ( ton of gas, bloating, some times diarreah and others constipation )

My last blood hormones blood test showed values that are not compatible to my young age. Very high fsh and lh and too low estradiol...I still have period every month on 28 day but with same changes on the duration and the flow...

I am desperate for help because  I am too young for this and I am scared a lot for osteopenia and diabetes ( I am experiencing many hypoglucemic attacks)cry

Have you checked your hormones? Are you still having periods?

Hi so nice to hear from you, but am really sorry your going through all this, doesn't seem right when we are so young does it. I have blood tests one of which was to check hormonal levels but when I asked doctor if that had ruled out the menopause she said no she mentioned there was specialist tests but not done any yet. Yes I am still having periods but they are changing, some months are really short and light and then some months are heavier and bit longer and started coming at a later time. I'm hoping that I'll get some more answers on the 8th. So have you been told it's the menopause? Because I just seem to be left to struggle and keep making a record of how I feel to show the doctor.

According to my last blood test, my doctor said that my hormone levels are not compatible to my age...but since I am still menstruating every month and on 28 day and since I am  having ovulation my ovaries are still working!rolleyes

But the problem is that I am experiencing severe symptoms of estrogen deficiency on a daily basis...I cannot live like this anymore. I need help!

Are you experiencing symptoms the whole month or specific time of the month?

Why your doctor does not ruled out menopause transition? based on your symptoms?

Have they given you anything to help with your low estrogen? It pretty much seems to be all the time, no sooner has my period finished I'm still feeling the same until the next month. I'm sorry I don't get what you mean about the doctor? All the doctor has said is she can't rule out the menopause but hasn't said it is either, I've been told that she has to rule out other things first so she has tried changing my pill but still not helping.

No my doctor did not prescribed me anything for low estrogen...I have an appointment next week to discuss about the potential options of treatment

Are you on the pill or your doctor decided to give you the pill in order to improve your symptoms? Maybe, this is the cause or it may deteriorate your symptoms!

I hope you do get some help, it is so awful struggling. Yes I am on the pill the doctor decided to change it to a more cleaner and I think lower dose of progesterone but has kept the estrogen the same because I was put on higher dose of estrogen doc said to try it for 3 months to see if anything improved but doesn't seemed to of changed anything.

Hi Tanya, you are not alone. This is whats happening to me also. I am feeling the same way until a period hits and soon as period leaves its back again until...what is your doctor ruling out?

It is nice to hear from other people who understand me, I know I am young but don't really have anyone I can talk to, all gets abit much. The doctor has said that she can't rule out the menopause but because alot of the symptoms are also signs of progesterone problems she is trying to change my pill to see if that works, then said maybe change it to a progesterone only pill and try that for 3 months. She had mentioned specialised tests but at the moment I'm left keeping a record of how I feel. I appreciate that she has to rule out other possibilities such as the progesterone but just feel I need some help, I have been on the pill a long time and it's never caused me these problems before. Also my doctor said she wasnt taking into account the change in my periods because I'm on the pill... I know I'm to young for the menopause but I seem to have pretty much all the symptoms. Just feel I need some relief. Sorry for long message!!

you can start peri in your 30's it isnt unheard of you can start having hormone imbalances at any point in your life in fact I have read that there is a connection with having post partum depression and a difficult menopause due to similar drops in hormone levels quickly.
