I feel spaced out, drunk/high 24/7

I've felt like this for about 3 weeks now. It hit me like a bus. One day I was perfectly fine, and then the next I felt like I was half way through my 10th pint on a Friday night. And it hasn't stopped since.

I feel spaced out, I struggle to concentrate on things. It's really hard to explain, but my vision seems to focus intensely on one object (like an up close macro photograph) & then everything else around me seems to fall away.

I can still function day to day. I can still talk to people, walk/run, make food etc. but I constantly feel drunk/high.

I've got exams coming up within literally weeks and this just cannot continue in to that period.

I don't know what to do. Welcome any suggestions. Thanks.

PS: I've never been on any medication before and blood pressure etc. are all fine. All good in the health department.

Hi... My husband has the exact same symptoms now since 2009. This is first time we've really come across someone who described it so well. Have you had any luck in finding out what is going on with you? Please write back ASAP. Thank you

      Hi,

I myself have had this for 3.5 years and I have every test under the sun done. Can I ask all the testing your husband has done and is there anything that triggers his symptoms? What symptoms does he have? How long does it last for? I finally have found some answers to my symptoms and I am hoping I can help you get the proper diagnosis.

please help me, I have these symptoms and have had them for two years, im only 22 and have done many tests with no luck, what did you find out with yours?

it may not be exactly this but i think its derealization. if not all its mostly due to anxiety and your current mental state

derealization is when nothing around u feels real and that you're in a dream, there's also depersonalization which means you don't feel real, you can have both or one or the other

Hi can I please ask you what your diagnosis was? I haven't been able to get any luck after suffering with this for over 4 months? Very similar symtoms to what you have described and I just csnt seem to get to the bottom of it? Any help I would massively appreciate thanks Jordan

Im 15 and I feel the same. I do have anxiety and people tell me it's just anxiety but I feel this way 24/7 and I'm worried. I keep thinking somthing is wrong with me. Please help. Thanks.

it is anxiety but it's not '' just '' anxiety. you're obviously scared so it's not something that just doesn't matter. it sounds a lot like derealization which has to do with anxiety. a psychiatrist can really find out what's going on and diagnose you and possibly give medicine if it's needed, counseling helps too

Heya, are you still feeling spaced out and weird? Exactly the same thing happened to me, about 4 months ago. I'm super worried that I'm going to feel spaced out and high for the rest of my life - when will it end?! I'm literally too scared to drive, leave the house or do anything because I'm permanently so dazed and have moments when I think where am I? Is this really me? Freaking out! And no one seems to understand

idk if i already replied but i think its called derealization, it has to do with anxiety, you can go to a psychiatrist and have them see if you have gad ( generalized anxiety disorder ) or if you're anxiety has gotten to the point where you would need medicine, anti anxiety medicine and counseling helps a lot with derealization
