I feel spaced out, drunk/high 24/7

I've felt like this for about 3 weeks now. It hit me like a bus. One day I was perfectly fine, and then the next I felt like I was half way through my 10th pint on a Friday night. And it hasn't stopped since.

I feel spaced out, I struggle to concentrate on things. It's really hard to explain, but my vision seems to focus intensely on one object (like an up close macro photograph) & then everything else around me seems to fall away.

I can still function day to day. I can still talk to people, walk/run, make food etc. but I constantly feel drunk/high.

I've got exams coming up within literally weeks and this just cannot continue in to that period.

I don't know what to do. Welcome any suggestions. Thanks.

PS: I've never been on any medication before and blood pressure etc. are all fine. All good in the health department.

Hi! Just wanted an update. Has anything changed? Have you found anything that helps?

Hi, I think you should check condition of your heart rate. Try measure your blood pressure every 1 hour throughout the day, because a one-off measurement may not be reliable. Valid pressures are 120/80 to 135/85 mmHg. Check your heart rate too. When your heart is running too slow or too fast you may feel bad. Also examine the cervical spine and ears - the labyrinth in the ear. There is also a neurologist to visit. I wish you good health.

hi, i also have this after a bad experience smoking weed where i had a panic attack. everything felt unreal and like i was in a dream. now, 2 months later, it's nearly gone. it's called depersonalization / derealization and it's caused by your fight or flight response being active for too long. it's entirely fuelled by anxiety.

so it got better after a couple months? i just quit a month ago and have been feeling headaches and crazy derealization also. its been making me worry like crazy, im just hoping itll be temporary and not last a very long time

ya exactly, some people have it all the time or can have it a lot in small periods like episodes, if u ( the creator of the post ) ever smoke or used to and had a bad trip this could easily have started it or made it worse, if you still smoke you should prolly stop because it can easily make it worse

You ever figure out what was up? Sounds exactly like me. Can't link it to anxiety or stress increase. Feel too chilled out and drunk. Eyes zone out constantly. Docs cant figure it out

You need to at least decrease the amount of alcohol you are consuming, take it a day at a time.

I felt like this when I had B12 deficiency. As soon as I started having injections it got better but comes back if I don't have them. Alcohol depletes B12

Hey guys I used to suffer from the same problem until I got my eyes checked then it went away for while until I needed new prescription. If your neck/shoulders ,jaw ,temple or eyes hurt or feels tense or if you feel light sensitive or can't use the computer as much then its 100% something is wrong with your vision and something is causing your eyes to strain. I've been feeling this drunk sensation again for 2 weeks but I'm getting new lense this week I'll let you guys know if it goes away again.

kinda late & ur prolly fine now but u ever heard of derealization? has to do with anxiety/anxiety attacks, it's weird and scary at first cuz you dont know why its happening or how to stop it but like i said it all has to do with anxiety and how you are mentally. it could just be anxiety or something may have had happened around the time you posted this and caused it, if u never got it figured out it would be good to go to a psychiatrist & or a counselor to get an actual diagnoses but it sounds like that's what you have & meds and counseling can help a lot with it
