Yes I get the doom feeling like something bad is going to happen which will also encourage intrusive usually horrible thoughts. I do get a sense of feeling like nothing makes sense and I want just freak out but not full blown derealization. What are your symptoms?

It sounds hell. I sometimes want to go back to drinking though I've kept away from it for a few years now as the hangovers made me worse.

Do you take anything for it?

Fluoxetine for a years now, stopped working when I tried to lower the dose to 20mg due to stomach problems over a year ago. Doc wants me to go up to 60mg instead of 40mg to see if it will work again, though dont want to go through the side effects again.

I suffer from OCD and a couple of years ago I suffered a truly horrendous edpisode that lasted months, and I started thinking my thoughts were possibly premonitions. It's very unpleasant, but that's all they are - thoughts. I suggest you try relaxation techniques - there are many good meditation videos on YouTube. It really works...honestly.

    Good Luck and God Bless.

    Hi Tammy

Sorry you have been dealing with this. I've had major anxiety to then point that I went to ER (everything's normal) They gave me meds but didn't take it as per I had depression before and it made me feel more worst

I'm not a medical profession but it helped me to block the feeling/thought of anxiousness & replace it with a positive thought (I think of sunset in the beach, fun times with friends, eat my fav food, lol - this has helped me a lot). I keep myself busy by reading books, watch tv, play a game on my phone.

I also realize that most of the stuff we worry about doesn't happen or will never happen. So don't worry, be happy. Don't let it rule your life.

I wish you all the luck smile CB

I have the same feeling since October but you have to push through it. YOu have to llow the brain to process and keep speaking to yourself that this is not reality. Noah Elkrief talks are good and they helped me to see sense and i am 605 better tha before

this usually happens when you have not much to do but thinking time.  I go out for walks every morning as a routine and Noah Elkrief says to touch ur nose and say this is what is real.  I am not myself anymore but i m discovering my previous personality and convincing myself that is the old me
