But I have noticed I keep getting bruises on the top of my leg they don't hurt and I haven't knocked myself, I also take tablets for under active thyroid and statins. Has anyone had this happen only overheard someone talking about a lady who has cancer and had bruises on her legs and was told this can be a sign of it. Should I mention it to my doctor ?

Was born there in 1956. We lived in Dagenham. Dad worked at Ford. He moved Us to Luton for Vauxhall in 1963. I had heard about Oldchurch and have recently been looking at old photo's of it when it was a mental hospital before that. I teach disadvantaged adults and love it. Very rewarding. Had a really bad flare up today after all my good advice to everyone to keep it dry and moisturised I got lazy while I was busy. Got to put myself first for a change. It is definately important to keep on top of things. Started a relaxation class recently. Was late and stressed when I got there this week and then was so tired fell asleep during the session as we were trying a meditation. He, He!! I hope you are still enjoying your hols. It was quite cloudy often when we were there in the morning. It is suppose to be cloudy often as the island has its own micro climate. Luckily it burns off quickly. As you can tell we didn't do much sunbathing as I have vetiligo and rosacea which go hand in hand with Ls. Spent most of the hols sightseeing as the sun affects me badly. Used to go a lovely brown years ago too. I don't know if the pin will come out on its own Carol. I think it may only be glass that comes out after a while. If it still bothers you on your return you could maybe see someone again about it. Happy hols. Chrisy

The flare up is because I have been so busy on my return what with washing ironing and lesson preparation for 5 new classes I have been a bit lazy with the clob. As soon as I do that I get a flare up. Usually I can calm it but this time it is being stubborn and has spread to the back end too. I have tried all my usual tricks without fail. Back at Dermatologists middle next month so will have to get it under control soon. If I don't she will call me back in three months and it is quite a way to the hospital. I don't like wasting their time. Going to try some other moisturisers and keep on at the Clob maybe do it for a few days on the trot this week to see if it will calm. So itchy. Typical of the hospitals to ignore you when you are away. I had the same problem with the foot specialist who sent me an appointment for an MRI scan when I was away last Christmas with my daughter. I had waited for a year by then so I was not amused. When they finally sent me another they got the wrong foot and would not change it so I had to wait again for another appointment which I've finally had and I see specialist tomorrow to see if he can help with my problem. Fingers crossed I've been waiting a total of 18 months for this decision. Keep cool Carol.
