I know, I know. I was afraid to ask too. This chart helped me, and I apologize if anyone is offended

Sexual positions that are good for THR patients, blue is the man. Pink woman. I was really glad to find this. I'd die before I asked my doctor!!! I know it's a touchy subject, but I think it's important to not be scared. Live a full life and stop anxiety.

Great converstion. Its a bit too  soon for me but the questions are there. I love what Graham said about us being able to talk about anything here. The diagram is great. I didn't understand why some of the positions and both a check mark and an X on them.

Where it says 'Position #', there is a 'male' icon, with a tick or cross, then a 'female' icon with a tick or cross.  That indicates if it is safe for the male or female depending on who has had the surgery.

      i.e.

      + = Male, ^ = Female ....

      + (cross)    ^ (tick)  =

not safe if the male had the hip surgery,

but safe if the female had the hip surgery.

Hope that clarifies it  ............ confused

no - the differences between English & American .........

UK Tick mark = US Check mark

+ = the closest I could find to a 'male' symbal (circle with cross on it)

^ = the closest I could find to a 'female' symbal (circle with arrow on it)

Limitations of me using a PC, I expect you have closer icons on mobile phones.

Sorry, I was just copying what you'd posted as she didn't seem to understand. I should have worked a little harder on finding the answer on my own...

I always find it fascinating, the differences in our versions of 'English', not only between Auz, NZ, Canada, USA & England, but also different parts of England itself. smile  Language is wonderful to see & hear as it evolves.
