I'm sure you all remember me. I posted here 2 months ago about being worried about having kidney disease. Well I went to the doctor on Wednesday of this week. And I was able to view some of my blood test results online. However I don't exactly know what they mean. I am going back to my doctor again next Wednesday. But i wanted to see if you all could explain the blood test results to me before I go back? Here are my results.

CREATININE-RANDOM, URINE 97 mg/dL 20 - 320 mg/dL

MICROALBUMIN 0.5 mg/dL See Note: mg/dL

Reference Range:

MICROALBUMIN CREATININE RATIO RANDOM 5 mcg/mg creat <30 mcg/mg creat

The ADA defines abnormalities in albumin

excretion as follows:

So does 97 mg/dl mean that my kidney function is at 97 percent? I don't really understand. Here is a picture of it too. I know that i upset you all a few weeks ago. but i would appreciate your help. thank you.

What great news - you have nothing to worry about. Eat healthy, no fast foods & drink plenty of water. Here's a breakdown of what your creatinine level should be by age.

    Creatinine

    Age Male (mg/dL) Female (mg/dL)

    =2 days 0.79-1.58 0.79-1.58

    3-27 days 0.35-1.23 0.35-1.23

    1 month-9 years 0.20-0.73 0.20-0.73

    10-12 years 0.30-0.78 0.30-0.78

    13-15 years 0.40-1.05 0.40-1.00

    16-17 years 0.60-1.20 0.50-1.00

    18-19 years 0.60-1.26 0.50-1.00

    20-49 years 0.60-1.35 0.50-1.10

    50-59 years 0.70-1.33 0.50-1.05

    60-69 years 0.70-1.25 0.50-0.99

    70-79 years 0.70-1.18 0.60-0.93

I'm only 30 though. So is a EGFR of 88 for a 30 year old kinda bad? I am just worried because i think mine should really be at least around 95 to 100. I think it's alittle bit low for my age. I'm just concerned that I could eventually have kidney failure when I get to be in my 60s or 70s. But i know that I can do something about it now so that I can have a stable kidney function for along time. I already do need to go on a diet because I have fatty liver disease. So i know that my liver problem is the biggest concern now. Hopefully the diet i go on for my liver would help my kidneys. I just am concerned that i am in danger of kidney failure when I get older. But maybe if i take the steps to get healthier now I won't have kidney problems when I get older.
