I fixed mine for good. I put a few drops of bleach in water and douche with it. I did that for 3 days and it was gone. I'm not saying to do this. It's what worked for me. Good grief women used to douche with Lysol. I read about this one lady did. I know you will get many answers but you have to make the dissicion what you want to do. I'm not unhappy with what I used. It's what worked for me. Everybody is different

I managed to get rid of BV through a combination of following a lot of the advice already given.

Anti-biotics didn't work, Dalacin Cream didn't work. Prochlorperazine tablet inserted into vagina did help and immediately after that I did the following:-

I switched to a plain diet with no sugar added to anything. It is in most foods and I am ok now as long as there is only a little sugar so I have to watch what I eat. No ice cream! I have porridge with sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and lemon for breakfast. I put AC Vinegar on french fries when I have them. Take a Woman's Supplement for vaginal health every day. I also take Vitamin D, Folic Acid, Vitamin E and a fish oil capsule. I also insert some multi-gyn gel for BV into vagina first thing in the morning and last thing night.

What I try to do is get the correct ph balance into the vagina.I was sore and itchy too. Mine is an age thing. The smell is so embarrassing but I can truthfully say that as long as I follow the above I am back to normal.

If I stop doing the above i'm back to square one. Everyone's body is different and it is trial and error. I really hope you find the right thing for your body.

      CORRECTION

Apologies re my above post. The tablets the Dr gave me to insert into Vagina for BV were called Fluomizin. He said they had been having quite a good success rate with it. I only needed a couple and they helped me when antibiotics and cream didn't.I feel I needed the tablets to take away the wrong bacteria. I haven't used them for 14 months.

I now maintain the ph balance with a probiotic for women , vitamins and gel. If I forget to do this, for even a day, the problem starts to return. I had this horrific problem for 6 months and the combination of using tablet and trying to get the get ph balance in vagina right has no doubt helped.

I know we are all different, and it probably wouldn't work for everyone, but there is no harm in anyone asking their Dr if it could help them.

what could be happening, and I apologise if I am wrong, is that this person is not genuine, which is suggested by the same problem with only one reply from that person with only a short sentence. It is slightly annoying.
