My Gyno has been following a simple cyst for 8 years that has started to grow. I’ve decided to have my ovaries removed but for the past 10 days I’ve had what I thought was a stomach bug but now I’m worried I have ovarian cancer.  I’ve been exposed to relatives who had a bug but they’re better.  It’s making me crazy.  Any one relate?

Hi ladies. I’m now 2 weeks from surgery and I’m really scared. I’m 66 and this will be my first surgery. I’ve read about all the pain women are in after the surgery and that has me really scared and they’re younger than me.   I live in NJ and I have been looking forward to summer for months. I realize now that this could ruin my summer!  My thoughts were to do what’s best and have the ovaries and tubes removed  now so I wouldn’t have to think about it. My Gyno said I would be out of commission for 2-3 weeks.  That’s it.  I don’t believe that anymore.  Should I put this off till September?  Don’t know what to do?
