Hi Ronni I feel your pain and like most of us we have experienced this lost confused feeling that can't be controlled ! There are many questions like have you been tested for any kind of vertigo vestibular condition (medical term for middle ear and nerves! This is a place where you feel the vertigo , anxiety and helplessness as you don't know what's going on? What's the doctor doing about it as has he/she sending you to a specialst that deals with vertigo/dizziness - your not alone ronni and we feel your pain as we also have dealt with this ! Basically if they don't specialise they don't know and are often misdiagnosed so demand a specialst in this area of vestibular ! Another question is have you had an MRI or neck injury (vital nerves can send you down the path of dizziness)! Good to know what part of the country you are from ? I'm from Queensland , Australia !

Your issues really sound like they are anxiety related. If you have vertigo issues you are in one of the best places in the US for that. The Chicago Dizziness Clinic has one of the best reputations in the US. They surely could help with that as an issue. There are thyroid related issues that can lead to dizziness. If you have thyroid problems you need to get to the bottom of that. Thyroid cancer usually presents with a lump in the front of the throat but, is very treatable. I am a cancer survivor so I know that word is scary. One thing that I found that helped me with that though, was to not let my mind run rampant with what ifs. Fear causes a lot of the symptoms that you are relating to how you feel. I know that it is sometimes easier said than done. I struggle with anxiety as well. You will find your answers and you will get over this.

I know you know cause u are right the word cancer is where it all started it put me in a bad place and nobody understands I have 3 modules in my neck I got a biopsy and 2 was benign the middle one which is large came back inclusive so I have to get retested for cancer there it does have a goiter as well I'm so scared upset and angry I know things aren't going to get better that way and the pinching feelings now it's like I can't get a break

Chicago Dizziness and Hearing right there in Chicago is one of the nation's best centers. I'm surprised your doctor didn't recommend it. Good luck, it's a one understands it unless they've had it. I'm still trying to find someone who can daignos my problem. Google "oscillopsia". Yeah, that's pretty much what I see when I walk. Makes me very off-balance.

Ronni your experiencing exactly what most of us have gone through - many have given up work and many are left on their own as no one knows what to do! Can you seek a balance clinic in your area - get them to see if it's your inner ear - I had BPPV google it and I thought I was going to die - 5 months home bound too frightened to leave the house ! It could be a coincidence that your checkup happened at the same time as this can happen at any given time at any given age ! I just stumbled backwards and in two days I was spinning out , couldn't walk into shops due to the lights and movement around me , vomitting after every bad attack of vertigo etc etc ! There are test that need to be done (MRI) is one but if you can ring around and find a specialst balance clinic they will seek if it's the inner ear ! I walked out of my neurologist as he told me I had nothing wrong  - it appears not all doctors specials in this area and no jack! I was lucky a physiotherapist was fully aware and pushed my doctor for specialist care and now I'm good , really good compared to what I was ! Get on google and YouTube and start helping yourself as knowledge is power! I here if you want to keep talking smile

Hi Ronnie ,another here with same problem. So many of us suffering these symptoms,it begins out of nowhere as you will read many post saying the same thing over and over .There are tablets you can try ,Stemitil ,Cinnazarine etc ,many say theirs began from having neck issues ,like myself ,I have Mal de Dembarquement syndrome ( on a boat) now going into year 5 .Go on you tube ,try some of the exercises on there .

There are sites on FB you can join ,chat to others on those  as on here ,read what others try ,more you understand the better the difficulties that come along with balance issues ,will PM you sites to go join up .

What I will ask is have you got tinnitus by any chance? Ear ringing / hissing .this can be another factor to some who have this condition ,I believe hormones plays a part also .

I to have anxiety  all related  it's what it does .Many have and still got it  some it settles back down .

You've had tests. So nothing going on  keep thinking tests are fine in your head ,nothing's going to happen to you .

You need to find out the name to the balance Prob you have ,there are many  some overlap 1and 2 going together .Have you had any whiplash prior. IE like a car accident etc that will bring this on .

Stay chatting to others  it won't stop it ,but it will reduce your worrying so much ,and hopefully settle you somewhat .Read the postings from others, knowledge is great to understanding conditions.Drs I've found haven't the answers,or understand the stress we find ourselves under ,got to walk in a patients shoes ,as is to all unseen illnesses .

Stay on chatting to others ,it will definatley help I promise .Not alone out there .Go try those 2 meds I placed ,got nothing to loose .

Hi.....my anxiety was through the roof when my dizziness started. The first thing to do is get your anxiety under control. I am taking an antidepressant to take the edge off the anxiety. Then you will deal better with your symptoms. Trust me i know what its like.
