Hi everyone, I'm back in my room, everything went well. SB is now wearing off so starting to feel a little uncomfortable. I couldn't have wished for a better team, they've been brilliant. Thank you to everyone that wished me well x

Ha ha, ha! The part I was dreading the most was the bedpan and I was right. You have a great positive attitude though and will be walking to the washroom in no time. Just keep on plugging away and you'll do great. I'm now at 4 weeks and 3 days and doing well. Unfortunately my other leg that still needs done is causing me a little trouble but I just keep on doing what I can. I focus very hard on standing tall standing tall and walking heel toe - advice I saw on this site. Stay happy and positive!

I also tried a deluxe feminine urinal bottle which works well if you can get upright, but was a disaster in bed.

Nothing worse than soiling you bed and waiting for someone to help.

That's great - dignity now intact! Now stay positive, work hard and you'll be walking well in no time. There will be good days and okay days but it does improve - suddenly you'll be surprised what you can do. Hugs!
