Well here I am. Found myself after op in recovery in agony for some reason. They were pumping Morphine into me like there was no tomorrow......
they decided to transfer me to the private hospital for the night, to get pain meds under control.
SO I am doped to the eyeballs.....excuse any typo's in this post.
i have had some food and a cuppa. They have me on Panadol 4 hourly, Targin slow release at night and Endone if I need topping up. Hence im in the right place π. I did expect lots of pain for the first week.....the severity just surprised me. But in saying that there were two others in recovery who had shoulder ops different to mine and they seemed to be doing much better than me. Mine was Β re attaching tendon to bone as well as frozen shoulder. Anyway guys.....so tired, just wanted to touch base πββββ

Don't over do it. Relax, rehydrate and rehabilitate.
Everyone is different and everyone had a slightly different op and different starting point. Some are completely frozen, others suffering impingement. You are you, Β so chill and be looked after xx

So glad you are out the other side Kerri, I am impressed you are able to type and string a sentence together!Β Yes pain is awful at the start, but as the others have said, take what meds you need to get through it, we are all different and recover at a different rate.
Have a good rest..........let us know how you get on when you are up to it.
Sleep well!

I suppose I'm thinking about my op. Op 1 keyhole didn't work first time- still frozen! Op 2 was manipulation under anaesthetic....that did the trick. Much better now and hardly any discomfort...apart from physio day! Ooooo, the muscle under my collar bone does not want to budge. Im returning to work after 6 months off. I completely understand your 'hermit anxiousness'. I'm left handed, left fs and a teacher! Writing on the board will be interesting!

I wish I had found this site before my op - I did expect to bounce back quickly & I'm quite dissapointed that I haven't!!!!! Think I'll be like Ali and end up going back to theatre for further manipulation........
Good luck with work & yes be sensible
Hugs xxx
