I NEVER feel hungry, can this be anything other than cancer? Distraught

Hello, I am a 25 year old male, I've searched the internet high and low but there doesn't seem to be any reassurance out there for me. I lost my appetite seeminly over night about 3 months ago. Over that time I have seen 4 different doctors and they have presribed various things like laxatives and acid reflux as I have also had mild digestive complaints on and off. None of these have had boosted my appetite though. I still enjoy eating and do so to keep my energy levels up, but I never actually get hungry and sometimes I get bloated after meals. I also had a colonscopy (I requested it) to rule out colon cancer and it was all clear so the doctor just gave me anti-anxiety meds assuming my lack of appetite was psychological. Only thing is I'm convinced it's not and have seen another doctor who I persuaded to give me an ultrasound. Doctor doesn't seem too worried though and just seemed to imply I'm a hypochondria.
Assuming I am right about the lack of appetite being physical, can I really be anything else but cancer? I'm convinced what I am experiencing now is cachexia, or wasting from late stage cancer. I can't help but think it's pancreatic cancer with liver mets as I also have digestive complaints (have even had floating stools for a while now), I initially considered this just to excedingly rare in people my age but my symptoms just seems textbook. All in all just can't really believe this is happenning and I'm terrified about the ultrasound.

I find your concern very affending. You enjoy eating and you finish or close to finish your meal. Once you do not feel hungry and cannot eat, only take a few bites throughout the day just so you wont die then please come talk. You want to be convinced that it is cancer when the doctor has told you no. Who's the doctor him or you? You must be 6 years of old. You just have a small appetite, if that makes you feel a little better, actually I cant even say small appetite. Now please carry on with your day and instead get your brain checked. Thank-you have a nice day bye.

Hi, I know this is an older post so you may or not be active here still, but I struggled with this issue for a few months in a period of severe stress and anxiety. I was googling symptoms as I was worried about them and developed something along the lines of health anxiety and I was really stuck in a viscous cycle until I examined my own behaviours and attitudes towards my symptoms. I was reading about all sorts of different illnesses and diseases online, which made me more anxious, which caused me to focus on my body even more and so on...
I'm not trying to discount your symptoms as purely mental, but stress, anxiety and low mood can create many physical symptoms in your body too - loss of appetite/hunger is a common one. So whilst the symptoms are real, they have a more mental cause. And if you've been the doctors several times and have had tests like I did, and they came back as normal then maybe consider this possibility of a more mental cause. There are physical causes of loss of appetite like hypothyroidism and some medications but I really doubt your issue is this. Again, not trying to sound dismissive at all, but the way you are typing and the content of your text makes me think you seem incredibly worried, especially when you mention pancreatic cancer - which is very, very rare at your age and seems incredibly unlikely. I'm also saying this to try to help anyone suffering with similar issues as there's been a few posts here since. Also stress and anxiety can cause all manner of symptoms in the gut whether it be IBS like symptoms or reflux, so bear that in mind too. All I'll say here is to be kind to yourself and remember that your mental well being is just as important as your physical well being. Especially as we've all been through so much this last year.

I agree. The symptoms presented are real. If tests show everything tested is normal, then one should consider the possibility that one's state of mind is contributing to or mostly the reason for the symptoms presented.
I suggest a chat with a psychologist to see if he or she can shed light on the situation.

this is pretty old but im curious how things went? sadly most doctors and the entire medical field is completely incompetent
i had suffered for years myself as well ultimately just to get a diagnosis of something that cant be treated well and basically no one knows why it happens...
i was given a gastric emptying test which confirmed i have gastroparesis. i have to fast often, i have to force myself to eat, im in pain daily and it interferes with my sleep often.
the medication Reglan, which was a god send for me was recalled due to crossing the blood brain barrier and people being overprescribed it (should be an as needed medicine people and warnings on the medicine clearly state not to exceed 2 weeks of taking it yet drs prescribed it to people taking it daily for years!! ) so i just suffer now, why? because doctors fail to counsel patients correctly and thoroughly. Today it doesnt matter if you have an illness, theres no proper care for people with chronic illness. we cant function like others due to medical illness and there is nothing to help and just doctors that ignore their due diligence of counsel in order to truly improve a patients quality of life

Have you had any scans or bloodwork to indicate cancer?

Look up nutritionists in your area! write down all your symptoms and make a call to a few of them. they usually have a free consultation over the phone. Tell them about your symptoms. they will tell you if they can help you.
Get a blood test to see what minerals and vitamins your body needs and is not getting.
Try to avoid stress as much as possible.
Regular Doctors only treat the symptoms not the actual problem. To get to the root you need to see a functional Dr. and speak with a nutritionist. What you eat matters.

It's understandable to be concerned, especially since you've been experiencing symptoms for several months and the various treatments you've tried so far have not helped.
However, it's important to remember that there are many potential causes of loss of appetite and digestive symptoms, and that not all of them are serious or related to cancer. Sometimes anxiety, stress, or other psychological factors can play a role. Other possible causes include infections, digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel disease, hormonal imbalances, and certain medications, to name a few.
It's great that you've had a colonoscopy and that it was clear. While your symptoms may be concerning, it's also possible that the results of your ultrasound will be normal and that the cause of your symptoms will be found to be something other than cancer.
It's understandable that you are scared, but try not to focus on the worst-case scenarios. Instead, focus on getting the medical care and support you need to help you find the cause of your symptoms and get appropriate treatment. If you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, consider talking to a mental health professional who can help you manage your stress and anxiety levels.
Remember, getting the right diagnosis and treatment is the best way to move forward, so stay positive and focused on taking care of yourself.
