I think I have kidney disease and I'm terrified.

Hi I am new here. I think I might have kidney disease. I didn't get diagnosed with it yet though. I am going to first go to my primary care doctor and get them to take a urine sample and blood tests and other tests if they need to. Some of the symptoms i have are dark colored urine. It looks like amber colored most of the time. And i have noticed small bubbles in my urine once so far. I go to the bathroom like 6 or 7 times per day which i believe is normal. Then i also have like some skin on my foot that turned brown. And then a little of it turned yellow too. I think its called increased skin pigmentation. I also just started getting these muscle twitches. Then sometimes i get diarrhea but not every day. Just like probably once or twice a week. I dont vomit at all and i dont' ever feel nauseous. I also started to notice that I bruise more easily. I am not tired at all as long as I get enough sleep. I ususally sleep for 8 hours and 30 minutes to 9 hours, which is normal I think. I don't feel weak and I still have enough energy to do the things that I need to do every day. Sometimes I get headaches but not every week. Maybe like once every other week and some weeks i don't get headaches at all. So i am very worried and scared about going to the doctor. Because I am afraid they are going to tell me that they think I have kidney disease. Do you all have any of those symptoms? If so what stage of kidney disease did you get those symptoms at? I am just so scared that I could be at stage 4 or 5 already and not even know it. I just found out I have high blood pressure too, but I didn't know i had it so it has never been treated before. I am going to get blood pressure medicine at the doctor too. I will just be really depressed if I really do have kidney disease in addition to high blood pressure.

Sitting here on fence for a while soo tempted to post but I think its time to stop replying to any further comments on this thread unless they are in response to Megans results from her Doctors visit.

We are all rising to the bait and its causing unnecessary stress and anxiety .

So good luck Megan but please do not post again until you have a result or diagnosis from your Doctor .

I agree, Jane. We seem to just be enabling Megan's dysfunctional behavior.

Jane, I totally agree.  If any future posts are just the same old thing of suspecting every possible disease on earth, without any real cause, I won't reply.  As you say, the blood test results will deserve attention.  But what do bet there will never be any tests.  smile.  I think not.

Yes I am going to get a blood test when I go to the doctor. Even if they don't tell me I need to get one then I will just ask them to do one. And yes I can share the blood test results if you want. I don't know if they give a copy of blood tests but I guess I can ask. So am I going to have to post a picture of the blood test for you all to see so you will believe the results or what?

I meant to say am I going to have to post a picture of the piece of paper that has the results of the blood test for you to believe it?

I don't understand how I have dysfunctional behavior. I wasn't trying to get attention. I am just scared to find out what is wrong. And i am not lying about the symptoms that I have either. And yes i know that just because i have symptoms of kidney disease doesn't necessarily mean that i have it. But there is a high chance since i am overweight. And i probably have diabetes that hasn't been controlled. And i already know i have high blood pressure for who knows how long. I haven't been to the doctor in along time either which is stupid of me i know. So by now I am sure i do have some major problems. But yes i am going to the doctor. and if people don't believe me then oh well I guess.

Well anyways bye I guess since people hate me here. But if you all want me to post the results of my blood test then I will come back and post it. And like I said if I don't end up having kidney disease then i will apologize to everyone for making this post before I was even diagnosed since it upsets everyone. And if I do end up having kidney disease then i guess i will just post the results and leave the forum again because even if i did end up having kidney disease i bet people still will not like me here.

    Hi Megan,

I think it would be best for you to wait till you have seen your doc and have some test results before commenting further..  Maybe then you might get more useful comments!  Let us know how it goes!

Ok i will stop talking about it until I see my doctor. My appointment is coming up pretty soon too. And sorry if i upset anyone by the way. I am just scared to find out the results. I just don't take bad news very well at all. I know people say not to worry until i see what the doctor says. But I have just always been a person who worries alot. Well whatever happens i will make a post and tell you all if I do or don't have it. And if I do end up having it then I hope people would be able to answer any questions that I have or give me advice on how to tell my family or whatever. I will try not to worry about it or talk about it until i go to the doctor though. I will let you all know how it goes. So talk to you all in about 2 weeks then.
