My advise to you would be to read every one of the posts that are written on this site. Your diagnosis could have been a lot worse, there is hope, treatment, and a lot of people who care.
I've been diagnosed since July 2014. I read all the posts and contribute only when I think I have something to offer.
All the best to you!

Look, it's not great news I know that, but it could be worse. I'm 5 months in, still trying to learn to live with it - still reading everything I can get my hands on - but I'm getting used to the idea that it's a long road to recovery.
That said, most of the time I live a normal life. I still work, do stuff and I'm pretty active (I'm renovating and I can still paint a room even if it takes a bit longer).
I do enjoy reading this forum to hear that I'm not the only one and that it's not all in my head!

There.is no need to worry at all I've had Pmr for two years two months now an this site has both been a comfort and an education into the life of people with Pmr. My advise to you is don't rush to reduce your steroids and rest whenever you can, good look with you journey, and ask away your questions will be answered.
