I've been on citalopram for 3 days

Hi need abit of advice like so many I suffer with anxiety, on Tuesday I was given a prescription for the above on 10mg a months worth I started taking them on weds and now I'm feeling the side effects I've spoken to an emergency doctor who has told me to stop taking them as they have made my chest tight due to the fact that I have asthma, all I want to no is how long will it stay in my system as I've been told not to take it on Saturday or Sunday but does that include Monday

    Hi, I have been on Citalopram for about 1 month now and I got the same tightness roughly 2 hours before I was due my next tablet but it subsided, keep it going until at least a month!
