I'm only on 50mg. Has anyone else had this and will it subside and if I come off does the diarrhoea stop.? Thanks I'm desperate.😢

you have to look at the bigger picture ask yourself this if you had a choice what would you put up with anxiety/panic attacks OR diarrhoea I know which one I would pick and did pick so the benefits far outway the side effects

each to one's own I guess

    Hi Jo,

Yeah I have the same thing. Kind of a drag to say the least, but I'm feeling better emotionally so I've hanging in there. I didn't have too much of a problem on 50mg. I also had no depression relief. My PA bumped it to 100mg about a week ago. I go to see her in another week. I'' hoping my bowels level out by then. From what I've read this is a very common side effect. Side effects often go away, hopefully this one will too.

So how long were you like it for.? I've been like it for 2 months and coming off it to see if it gets better but not sure that's a good idea either. 😳Mmm my friend had been bumped up to 100 and she's ok mood wise on that.

I started Sertraline 2.5 months ago and was fine for 6 weeks. Then suddenly got diarrhea after a spicy meal that has never gone away and worsened to extent every bowel movement now is watery. Also have abdo pain. Have consulted medics 4 times over last week. Blood and stool tests all normal. Cannot go to work as feel so ill. No tablets eg loperamide work. Think next step is colonoscopy. Am weaning off Sertraline but told have to do over 4 weeks. Last doc thinks may well be due to Sertraline. Anyone know anything that can help. BRAT diet has made worse.
