Hi. I got told by doc about 2 months ago that i had ibs. Was back to a different doc today and told them that it all happend after i came home from honeymoon which means it could be a bug in my stomach. Did anyone elses start off like this? Then doc said if it is that it could take up to 8 months to get better.

I quite believe what you say, have you noticed how we all seem to remember when we started getting our symptoms but we all coplain of different pains, feelings, constipation, diarrhoea, allergies to different foods and responses to different medicines. Logically, IBS is a convenient label for the doctors to say we have when they cannot find what's wrong with us and they don't know how to cure us. Well I suppose they have to tell us something when all their tests show negative.
The real funny thing is we then have to believe them !
I have sure that in years to come we will wonder how they got away with.
