I was diagnosed with IBS this year in the ER but my gastro just put me on an intestinal med to help eliminate completely. I need to take it for a month & so far a week on. It's still the same. The feeling of going, sometimes I do, sometimes don't.
I breath out this poo breath. By any chance do you have this too?

If I drink fiber(GI said to) I get more constipated & breath out horse manure.
I don't even know if I'm diagnosed right & taking a med that is good for me.
last year ENT kept telling me I had reflux & took that med, it didn't help. I have a hernia & my stomach moves up & down chest. I've asked docs to monitor or if I need surgery but they said that's not the cause of my symptoms. I guess they are waiting for things to get worse to do something.
I don't know what else to do. I can't find work bc I stink up the place w this odor & I'm not paying gas.
I've found others on these blogs w my condition & that's some relief that I'm not the only one.
I hope you find a solution.

And yes IBS symptoms are certainly varied! I've got barely any of the main ones and lots of the more unusual ones! I guess we're all just special that way! ;-)

Literally every test I've had have all come back absolutely normal. Calcprotectin I've had done twice and has been less than 10. Flex sig biopsies (and they took lots) normal. 3 rounds of full bloods normal. Celiac normal. Thyroid normal. Helicobacter negative. Pelvic US normal. Second Pelvic and Abdo US done my a specialist doctor who checked the liver and gall bladder and bowel where I have a specific recurring discomfort also normal. My doctor has actually said I'm the sickest healthy person she's seen.
I also want the SIBO test which is why I want them to do the endoscopy and check it from biopsies. I'd been on long term antibiotics before all this happened, so I've got my suspicisions. Sorry for the life story!

you mentioned taking antibiotics for a long time. Was this one course since June?
I was diagnosed w IBS in April at the ER. My gastro said the same but I wonder if I'm diagnosed properly & now on an intestinal med for a week.
helpful info was posted but taken down on this blog.
last year I developed my symptoms & poo breath. I was given antibiotics three times. The breath I STILL breath out was a misdiagnosed from ENT that I had reflux/gerd.
this year I found out by bravo test from GI that I don't have reflux. ..
I desparately need to work & breathing out in public again but this odor takes over a room or stinks up from feet away.
I'm blogging w others on identical, docs can't find an answer except push more antibiotics.
I eat healthy, drink water and still breath this out.
I have a hernia since last year but docs don't want to monitor this. I'm in the U.S. had endoscopy/colonoscopy done last year.
just like you my blood work, biopsies come back health.
I'm calling my GI tmrrw & question if I'm diagnosed IBS?
I have incomplete bowel movement. I go several times through out the day. Loose stool, bloating, (no cramping), urge to go but nothing there. I've researched but can only think that we need to rebuild

Do you eat white flour, sugar...?
I've changed my diet since April, some symptoms are less but I need consistency w bowel/complete bowel movements.
Did you take antibiotics?

Try going on forums on say, Facebook? There's plenty! And talk to people with ibs and then with ibd and then talk to your doctor.
I'm not getting anywhere further with mine so we're having to actually go private. Frustrating.
Just keep going at them until you get the answer you want. Or need really.
Wishing you all the best!
