Im 40 and I think my prostate has an issue.

Ok so here is the deal, this is going to get a little personal. I apologize in advance. First of all I am new here and this has probably been answered already, but I’m kind of worried. A couple of months ago I started to notice some changes in my functions “downstairs.”
The first thing I noticed wasn’t regarding urination. It was that when I ejaculate, the spurts were more like pre-pubescent oozes. Sorry for the image. I was also not waking up with morning wood anymore. I thought that maybe I was tired or whatever and figured I’d get back to my old distance records soon enough.
Then I started to realize that when I have to take a leak, even when I have to go really bad, that I had to sort of make it happen and the stream is about 1/3 of normal. Recently I have had to really help it along and sometimes there is some dribbling that occurs when I think I’m finished. I’ve never had a UTI that I can remember. I almost never get sick. My height and weight are where they are supposed to be and my last biometric blood scan had better than normal results. I did lose about 60 pounds last year by changing my diet and being more active at home.
Sorry for the gory details, but I am very concerned and wanted to be as detailed as possible. Thank you.

Blair, You've already received some sound suggestions on here but I'll reinforce some.
1. Sounds like a Prostate Infection - but, I'm not a Physician.
?2. If your upcoming appt is with a Urologist, Great. If it's with Your GP, You've basically just introduced an unnecessary step as more than likely He will refer you out. Referrals aren't necessary to see most Specialists.
?3. If ANYONE suggests any radical procedure(s), take time to research. I seriously doubt you have anything requiring immediate Radical Treatment.
?4. Not likely to need BUT If anyone recommends any Type Invasive Treatment, RESEARCH the Crxx out of it. There are MANY - But most Uros settle on one as they become "Comfortable" with it. And Advances are being made Frequently!
?Yes, around age 40, most Men start to develop BPH (Benign Prostate Hyperplasia), i.e., Normal Enlarging of the Prostate - ( As "Normal" as this Aggravating Condition can be considered! I'm 70+; known about it for about 10 Years; Was on Med for it for about 3 Years until I stopped the Meds one Year ago with My Urologists' Knowledge; and won't go back onto it until absolutely necessary.)
Good Luck and Post Your Results! It helps all the other Men on here!
