Immunity?

Hey guys

I have dah hsv type 1 for 4 years. I was just wondering if you get immun to the rest of your body for that type of herpes?

Does that mean that you cannot get hsv1 in your private area? So if you have hsv type 1 on your mouth and your partner has hsv1 on the private area, he cannot transmit hsv1 to MY private area because i alreday have the hsv type 1?

Hi.......look...nothing is a proven fact when it comes to viruses!!!  Doctors do not have a proven fct on viruses other  than statistics.  But what you do have to understand is that when you have your breakouts or you feel it is coming on......take all precautions......avoid oral sex and kissing in that moment of out break.  However keep in mind......genital herpes and cold soars are way two different type of viruses!  Get toknow yur own body...there are also medications to conrol the out breaks ahead of time...like I said take all precautions....and do your own research as best as you can....you might learn more than what the Doctors will ever know!

Always negative swabs. But I'm still concerned. Dont want to pass it to anyone!

I've had genital herpes for 16 years...I know my body now....I know when to have sex without a condom......I do not do oral sex anymore..........that is the only downfall in life for me and for the person I am with.  I just inform who I am with that oral sex is out of the question and do not go into full details.  I am extra cautious.....I have to be.  I just look at it that I love kissing...and kissing also as in greeting my family and friends and most of all my kids.....so I have to play it safe....and not put my mouth on anyone's genitals!!
