Hello all.  This is going to be on a different subject.  SEX  I'm hoping this can help men with this problem cause by surgery or another medical problem.  I have been talking with my doctor and I am trying to get better.  Now let me explane.  Im 61 and still enjoy sex but it is not as good as it was.  I can not get a good erection.  I stiil can get one that is good for mastubation or oral sex.  And not all women do that.  The reason I'm doing this is I am tried of being alone.  I'm thinking of getting married again.  Been divorced 14 years and there is so much you can  with friends.  Never been one for one night stands.  YOU MEN THAT HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR A LONG TIME WILL KNOW ABOUT THIS.With being with someone for a long time you know the ins and out of your mate.  How they like to me touch held and the way they like sex.  I was married for 22 years and I know everything about my wife.  Now that I am doing good with all my other health issues.  Heart is good my diabetes is under control and I am off my blood pressure pills.  So if I get married again I what everything in working order.  I have talk to my doctor about getting up with morning wood and it seam I am good to go but has the day goes on it not that good. I do know that a mans testosterone is high in the morning.  He did tell me a mans level is at it's highest between 2 and 3 am After 8Am it will go done.  I was talking to him about going to one of the mens clinics but he said that they are only after the money.  I do trust my doctor and he is going to help me.  He has told me that there are over 100 meds or things that he can give me to help with my erection.  The first thing we will be doing will be a blood test to check my testerrone level.  From there who knows.  I will let you guys know what is going on.  I am hoping this may help other men that are having the same problem.  We have to all stick together and help each other.  Also we will be checking to see if my surger that I have had for 15 year messed up some of the veins and nerves in that area.  Take care  all  Ken PS  I have tryed Viagra does not help much

    I had a pretty low Test level so the UR put me on a topical supplement. I've been on it for months and it has raised my level to normal, but all I get out of it is some additional hair growth.

    For the record: Androgel is very expensive (more than a few hundred $) if it is covered at all. I found that a generic was available at Walgreens using as GOODRX coupon at less than 1/5 the price with no insurance.

      Was going to have my levels checked to. But all the possible side effects from the suppliments scare me a bit. Read some studies said low test could be the cause of your prostate growing.

      I am on a Gel that I rub on my shoulder so I don't know what he is going to do We will see It's call Tisten It's the only thing my insurance would cover Ken

      I've been taking the "Androgel" for over 6 months and my latest psa is less than 1. No change in urination frequency.

      My PSA was 4.1 2 years ago Last year was 0.7 so that is doing good  Ken

      The articles I read said low test causes the prostate to grow to compensate . Freaks it out. Also seen articles that say test makes the prostate grow. Why I am a bit scared of testosterone suppliments. There doesn't seem to be a reason for it's growth or what effect taking test can do to it. I don't want to take anything that may make it grow faster. Lol.

      I used to take saw palemtto. I also took astaxetan ( helped with arthritis ) I stumble on an article recently that said that combination can raise T. Maybe it helped cause my BPH

    thanks for starting this thread, I have been married for 39 yrs.  with some of the same problems, my urologist didn't seem to concerned, so he dismissed me after my last visit, his concern was the bph and that is fixed.

      Barry what did you have done to fix the BPH.   My doctor is all for me getting me back to were I was years ago.  We should never give up no matter what age.  I will keep this going and I will post from time to time.  Just starting blood worok next week  Keep trying NOt is not right for him to just pusth your concern on the side.  It ok to fix the BPH but most of the cures cause most of the problems  Ken

      I had Turp one yr ago, and do not have bph anymore, the retro does not bother me, but now the desire has gone.

      Sorry to ear barry. Are you on any others drugs that may low libido? For me the desire is there buy getting the motor running van be a chore. I'm fat and working feverishly to get the pounds off hoping it will help with erections

      Sorry to hear that berry.  I will not do anything to get rid of anything.  At 61 I enjoy the orgasm and ejaculation.  Clean up is fun after.  I just need a better erection  Take care  Ken
