I have had Cialis prescribed by my urologist to help erectile function and that worked well. However, it is more expensive for our UK NHS and my GP switched me over to generic Viagra. Works to help erections, but doesn't have such longlasting effect as Cialis. Do you know why Viagra not as effective for you?

I don't know.  I have taking 100mg of viagra.  I can get a erection but it is still sponge e.  Not good enough for intercourse.  Oral and masturbation it ok.  I get my viagra from canada.  To expensive hear.  I get 140 pills for $147   I have a lady friend that we fool around some time but that is it.  She is ok with it but I would like to go all the way.  My doctor is also checking if I have some nerve damage from my diabetes.  Have had it for 15 years.  I am under control but it has cause me nerve damage in my legs.  Very little feeling in my feet can't move my toes.  But I have been dealing with that. I trust my doctor he is 38 and he want the best for his patients.  Take care  Ken

    Hi Ken,

I have a Titan penile implant that I got two years ago last December. My wife and I absolutely love it. It has solved a problem I had to one degree or another for over 50 years.

That said, also get your testosterone checked. Low testosterone is common in older men, and fixing it is easy to do. It will help with your erection, but may not cure it because erection problems can have many causes. Psychological problems turn out to be very rare. But getting your testosterone levels fixed will also help many other things like sex drive, and others. It's best to see an endocrinologist to check and fix testosterone levels.

      Hi Ken,

Thanks for your kind words. I'll private message you and anyone else who asks for it a link with more useful background information. There's absolutely no marketing etc. in this. It's only information about penile implants.

Also, I think my previous post was unclear. What i was saying was that erection problems are common, and most of them have physical causes, for example, poor blood flow, or nerve problems. Almost all of them are fixed by a penile implant. Very few of them have psychological causes, and even those are helped by a good penile implant.

That said, please look at the blog i am recommending before you let any local urologist put one in. Also, get your testosterone checked.

Been on Sustanon 250 injections every 2/3 wks for many yrs now after it was found my testosterone was low. It has probably not had a major change in my sex life, but there are other benefits in keeping you healthy, like bone density ect. You must keep your testosterone in the central range, it is NOT healthy if it's too low OR too high. I probably have a little more hair but am not a v hairy person, it keeps muscle tone & probably mood. All thes things are quite subtle & you would only see the difference if you stopped the supplementation.  I inject myself which I don't find a problem but some people might.

There is much 'confusion' about whether test. causes prostae cancer & BPH with conflicting views. Keeping your level inside the central range is reported as being safe. There is now some experimental research showing large doses of testosterone can kill prostate cancer in certain individuals so it would appear that it is influential but there is still a lot to find out.

The problem with Cialis ect are that I get quite bad side effects, headaches, red eyes, slight vision problems & difficulty getting to sleep, but 20mg gives a pretty full on erection.

My doctor did not say much about the hospital when I told him.  His GF does not know if the doctor is going to do test.  He does not tell her anything.  It was like talking to a wall.  I still say he has something wrong with his bladder.  With having a turp I know it take a while to heal on some people but the swolling should have went down enough for him to pee a small stream. I will see her mother this sat and I will ask if she has heard anything from her daughter.  Take care.  I am so happy that is not my doctor  Ken

The way he's handling the case he shouldn't be called a doc. He basically is ruining another person's life. And profiting from it.

I think he was just in the right place when the doctor was on duty and the doctor know he could talk him into it.  That is a shame  Take care  Ken

Hey Buddy  I hope you had a good weekend.  I found out a few thing about my friends boyfriend.  He is only 58 and he looks like crab.  Still has the catheter.  Can't pee without I guess it's about 8 week.  I don't remember.  I don't talk to him when he drops her off and he does not say a word to me. .  He can't work  He is a painter and can't go up and down a ladder.  I guess she went with him this time to the doctor.  The doctor told them that the turp should have work, he said that he made a good tunnel.  She ask the doctor what was the size of the prostate because he did not know . He did not tell her right away.  She finely got one.  20 cc.  I don't think that is big and a rush to do a turp.  I guess at the end of the week they are going to remove the catheter again and if he can't pee there going to try CIC on him.  The doctor did not say anything else about another test.  I still thinks it is bladder.  What a waste  Hope you week goes well  Ken

Kinda late to check prostate size after they gutted it. If that's the pre-surgery size that's small from what I seen on here. Lol. Now he will never know what his original problem was and what was damaged by the doc just cutting when it probably wasn't needed. Without a scope he could have bladder cancer and not know it. The testing sucked. But no way would I let anyone just go in cutting blindly. Doc told me if all is clear after surgery, only thing could cause no pee or weak stream is scar tissue or bladder problems. I think your right. It was his bladder not his prostate. They could have figured that out with urodynamics. Would have been less pain and trouble. What was it a hour, hour and a half. They did mine and scoped me after it. He may have still been cic til they determine what to do but he would still be able to work. Now he's in for a tough time.

When did he find out the prostate size.  I think the doctor check his size when he was out and being it was only 20CC he did it anyway because he did not want to be wrong.  And this idiot did not want to have the catheter so he jumped at the surgery.  Which is funny He still had to have a catheter for weeks And now he may have to do CIC.  Thats what happen when you ruch  Have a good week  Ken
