For the past week I have followed low carb eating and was gobsmacked this morning when I stepped on the scales to find I'd lost 61/2 pounds! Yep thats not a typo!! 61/2 pounds!! I'm ecstatic. Of course , its early days and I will continue and see what happens next week. Don't really understand the science behind why it should work, all I know is, that for me, It seems to be working.
Anyone interested could just google high fat low carb. You could also google diet doctor as thats a very informative site. Be really interested to know if anyone else has been able to manage the weight gain on mirt with diet

when I started on it I was only 10 pounds over my normal weight which was due to depression overeating. As soon as I started on it the ravenous appetite kicked in. At times I gained a pound every 2 or 3 days. I have been on it a year and a half. I am still 30 pounds overweight but am tapering off and hoping it comes off soon and I am able to stay off of the mirtazapine. Good luck to you, I would talk to your doc about maybe adding an appetite supressant.
