Increasing my dose to 75mg

Hi,

Hope everyone is doing well!

I decided to increase my dose to 75mg yesterday. Feel so worried about all the side effects coming back. The 1st 4/5 weeks for me was hell.

Does anyone have any positive feedback on increasing? Thanks x

Hello. I have been on 50mg since last October. Side effects were horrid for a month. But I was still not right so gp upped to 75mg for a couple of weeks and I have been on 100mg for 3 weeks. I have side effects like a tingly tongue and an increase appetite but I feel well now, like my old self. I am glad I did it.

      Hi Armelle,

It has been ok so far with minimal side effects so hopefully the increase works 😊.

    Hi,

I came off 15mg Mirt 4 weeks ago on docs advice. It worked well for me for about 8 months then just stopped. Poor sleep and anxiety came flooding back. I was switched to sertraline 50mg for 1 week and for the past 3 weeks been on 100mg. I also take 80mg sr propanolol once a day. It's been hard I don't know what is withdrawal and what is side effects. Hoping it levels out soon!!!! I've had sweats, increase anxiety, bad sleep. I've been taking phenergan for sleep, it's a anti histamine which has helped and is non addictive. I've tried zoplicone and sominex but I  neither really helped. Have taken the odd diazepam on occasions too. Yep it's really hard I really feel for you. I've been off work since Christmas it's hit me for six. At the moment I'm just trying my best to push through but it's an emotional rollacoaster of feelings and thoughts!!!! Just hoping it settles soon. I would not go back on Mirtazapine now though. Just want my confidence back and some of the old me now.

I need to stop the phenergan soon really and see if I can sleep without it. Does give you a bit of a hangover effect next day esp taking 2 a night but I would not take anymore!!! Hope you feel better soon!!!!

      Hi Richard,

Why did the doctor decide to switch your medication? How are you feeling now?

The side effects of the increase have been minimal so far so hopefully it will stay that way and work for me 🤞. Xx

      Hi Phil,

I'm doing much better thank you, the increase was definitely the right decision for me. I feel like it has given me the extra push I needed, still not 100% but getting there.  Side effects were minimal so that was good!

      Hope your doing well! x
