Inflamed and painful penis tip for almost 2 months

Posted , 72 users are following.

Hello,

I've had penis inflammation around the opening and pain for almost 2 months now.  I've tried Clotrimazole, Hydrocortisone, Doxycyline, Rocephin, and seen a Urologist.  My urine analysis had no white cells. I was negative on std panel.  The pain is driving me crazy at this point.  The pain is mainly on the tip where it is most inflamed, though it causes a rash further down the glans.  Any opinions?

dealing with same it so stressful , seems to be so many variable creams and things offered ,and negative sti results and then 3rd one positive, or rare infections docs not even test for (all from researching people's experiences on here) I guess the ones who solve theres just vanish back into life but it seems the creams are making things worst a bit, there must be about 50 different creams to try . im so miserable . good luck guys keep us all posted

I suffered from intermitently having red sore tip of the penis for 14 years. I was examined by numerous Doctors and specialists and tried all sorts of creams and medications but nothing worked. About six months ago I remembered my Father had suffered from various skin conditions and allergies all his life as have other members of the family including my children. I remembered he used to take antihistamine tablets to relieve the symptoms. I thought I may as well try taking one a day myself and this simple daily act seems to have done the trick and I have had no soreness since. This reply is not aimed at you in particular but if taking a daily antihistamine bought from a supermarket can save just one person from what I went through then 5 minutes writing this message is worth it.

I gonna try this to see if this works. Lately, I've been thinking maybe it could be an allergy this entire time. My pain has lasted a year and 3 months now. The same symptoms. Lip shaped inflammation at the tip of penis. Rash like, shiny texture. It burns. No STD. Seen 5 different types of doctors, all say they don't know. This and disk surgery are my last two options. Hope this works!!!!!

Yes nothing on the glans, just sore penis lips that hurt when p*****g and not good when having sex.

the antihistamines are off the shelf from a supermarket. They are called Galpharm hayfever and allergy relief. The creams i was given always seemed to make it worse. The professionals I saw always thought it was Herpes or an STD because they couldn't work it out.

I hope this may help you. Worth a try.

I found this thread from countless google searches. I too have this issue. Ive had it for over a year now. The pain comes and goes. Usually right after I have sex is when it really flares up. It hurts quite a bit then after a couple weeks the pain slows down but never goes away. Its hard to describe the pain but its like a throbing irritated feeling. After I pee it has a after burn that lingers. The last couple squirts of pee gives this sharp stingy feeling. There's no rash or anything physically on my penis. It just hurts on the tip

Ive been to 2 different urologist. Niether found any issues. The 2nd Urologist did a Cystoscopy and found nothing. They think maybe its the soap Im using but Ive switched to a bunch of different soaps and theres no change. UTI and STI test come back clear.I did a full panel STI and tested positive for Ureaplasma Urealyticum . But was told this was normal for sexual active males. Im taking Doxycline for it anyways but today is my last day taking it and the pain remains

Also theres no real pain relief. Ibprofin doesnt kill the pain. At this point its clear I got something that cant be cleared. It be nice to at least find a way to dull the pain even if its just temporary.

    Hi!

I have the same problem since the past 4-5 months! Burning and inflamed urethra and rash down there.

It may be because of prostate inflammation/ prostate infection.

Ask your doctor for semen analysis/ culture if you have not done that and ask for prostatitis also.

I dont know about the rash though. But it may be possible that if semen was infected it is causing that reactions on glans.

has anyone been tested for CMV adenovirus or EBV? looking for a viral explanation now. im going on 3 months of irritation. tingling and swelling has come and gone, redness and blood vessels have been consistent the whole time. it all started with unprotected oral sex for only 30 seconds. this 100% came from the throat. whether its fungal bacterial or viral. im learning that many "regular" agents can cause irritation of the urethra, even potentially flu virus? guessing here. nobody seems to have an answer but some people just stop replying so maybe itll go away on its own someday?
