Inside of urethra painful and blue - Anybody knows what this could be?

same here, it's driving me crazy i tested negative for other STDs and took some antibiotics, but this won't go away.

the pacth are long gone bro, but im still having a symptoms, i thought i already figure this out after taking some antifungal drugs, but symptoms keep coming back,i think this has something to do with chronic prostatitis (cpps)

im still waiting to take mine. i took an IGG 2 weeks after symptoms started but was negative and i heard the same. gonnna take it again in november. i will let you know then

i just got out of a infectious disease appointment, the doctor thinks it could be mild balanitis, since my std tests are all negative. fungal infections can be spread sexually so im getting treatment for that now. well see

Have you checked for Herpes 1 and 2?

i got an igm hsv test 7 days after exposure. igm heroes tests arent as accurate and only a small window of time to test. and i took an igg herpes tests 2 weeks after exposure, which isnt enough time to test for those antibodies. i just retook an igg hsv test (10 weeks) so ill know for sure whether i have herpes or not soon. but the igm test should have been came back accurately since i took it in the time window. i also retook a syphilis screening today. because that wouldnt have shown up 2 weeks after exposure in a test

there is a chance. low chances so i got tested for them again but i dont think its herpes because herpes usually has ulcers and severe dysuria.

It could be something like a yeast infection.

yeah balanitis is a severe yeast infection of the meatus. thats what ive been treated for, anti fungal cream and fluconizole pill. ill know if it works or not in 6 days from now. hopefully ill have relief in the next day or two but i can make a final call if it worked or not after a week

I have some white patches on the urethra also but only very few of them.

The only symptom i feel is a clear sticky discharge. I have no pain when urinating or ejaculation.

I wonder what caused the discharge.

thanks a lot! day 3 after antifungal treatment: im still having a weak urine stream for inflamation. also i still have redness but not as severe. i think its a coincidence because the symptoms come and go all the time. i would get a culture of that discharge, they can tell what kind of infection you have. thats my issue, no discharge to culture.

I'm also in day 3 of anti fungal treatment. Still very painful 😦

How is your day 4 of anti fungal treatment progressing?

no improvement, maybe even worse than it was, not by much tho. no pain but the inflamation and redness is still present.

check out this article i just found. its likely there is an unknown bacteria causing our irritation. more in depth culturing is needed to find out which bacteria is responsible. hopefully i dont have adenovirus or cmv. those i havent been tested for

Same here.. Having minimal pain / inflammation but redness that comes and go time to time. Sometimes it really hurts while passing Urine. I'm thinking this could be caused due to masturbation, a trauma to our nerves or tissues in the penile area. Or probably a bad fungal infection that is troubling us bad. A bacterial infection would cause elevated wbc levels and would also increase body temperature. Also my inflammation temporarily reduces with an anti inflammatory pill which typically suggests an injury to tissues or nerves.

One other correlation that comes to my mind, I had H1N1 flu Shot at the start of Sep and this problem started in the mid of Sep. Could this flu Shot have caused an allergic reaction or possibly an immune response? Same happened 7 months back when I got the same problem in the month of Jan that automatically resolved in the month of March and I had the same H1N1 flu Shot in the mid of December.

i know my case was transmitted sexualy, there are many hard to find or slow growing bacterias in urine that dont diplay as regular bacterial infections. our infection is accute so it proably wouldnt cause fever or things like that. my guess.

another user on this page reported enhanced quantitative urine culturing finding bacteria in the urine that couldnt be found with standard urine culturing. whether that was the factor causing him irritation or not is still in the air. but the bacteria could be irritating the fibers in his urethra without triggering a immune response with white blood cells. certain bacteria require alternative culture methods to be found, like different kinds of media, different co2 levels, multiple air temperatures and lenth of time incubating. or its some virus...

whats the update now?

i have an appointment today w urologist to see if the ngs urine testing can be signed off on. hopefully i can find out its a bacterial infection but if not idk what else to think it is.

I also have that bluish vein on urethra. ive also tested for various std but still inconclusive. I wish i knew the answer. Im so sorry
