InsoMEia!

Hidi Hi Campers!

Most of this week has been tough regarding sleep. I just cant seem to nod off - infact I am rather awake! I lay there for ages trying my hardest to 1) get comfy (Fibromyalgia) and 2) sleep. For example last night I was still laid in bed AWAKE at 3.50am! Only to awake at 7.00am. I haven't even had an afternoon sleep. It seems as though my body refuses to rest and I really need to. Even if I sit quietly reading a book or watching TV the insomnia is still there in the evening. I had an hours kip on the sofa yesterday and woke up in agony! Tonight I am meeting some girlfriends from the stables so I am going to have a little tipple to see if that works ( Any excuse!)

Anyone else suffering with insomnia at the min?

    INSOMNIA UPDATE!

I took my tablet at 9pm last night ans laid nicely in bed. ! hour later still not asleep thenat 10.30pm BANG! Out like a  . I slept til 9.am this morning. I awoke in pain but much less than the previous days. I am going to take one again tonight purely to help my body get a good kick start into repairing itself. I think my GP said I could take them for a week for I will evaluate it again tommorow.

I am feeling good today - well as good as its gonna get! AND I am in the process of making my hubbie some nice Brasine Steak, courgettes, carrots and roasties.

p.s I am making my hubbie the nice dinner becasue when he came to bed I was fast asleep and again fast asleep this morning! When he called this morning to check on me the kids said I was asleep, he rang again at lunch and my son said I was still asleep. I can just imagine him laughing at me with the lads at works saying "Mrs took a sleeping tablet last night and still hasnt woke up yet! Ha ha ahah " When I see him pull up the drive tonight I will run upstairs, jump in bed and tell kids to tell him I am STILL asleep. hee hee hee THEN when he comes to wake me up I will shour BOO!

Arrrgh we are ASO nasty but he loves it...HONESTLY

Oh that's great news, Donna smile

Just to know that you CAN sleep even if you need a little help is half the battle.

Sometimes just the fact that I have sleepers to hand if I need them, can be a great psychological boost - even if I don't actually have to use them.

We are all sensible enough to know that if we continue to use them frequently over a long period they cease to work effectively without increasing the dose.

I've always maintained, that used sensibly, sleepers can improve the quality of life for insomiacs no end.

Bet your hubby enjoyed a bit of peace for a while

    Take care

    Oh Dear!

I ran upstairs and jumped in bed and I heard him asking my daughter "Has your mum got up yet?" "No! she is still in bed" she said. Then my hubbie said "I think I am gonna ring the Dr! "

Oh S*** I never ran down the stairs so fast in my life - infact I dont really remember getting downstairs. "I'm fine I said!" "No your not!" "I am - I've been kidding you!" I gasped. "Donna your not well your sweating!" "You would be if you ran down the satirs as fast!" I said. "No we better get you checked!" He then walked into the kitchen and when I went in he was laughing - our son had told him the secret at lunch whilst I was at the butchers!

SO the last laugh was on ME.
