intermitent gross hematuria

Hi, I'm male - 26
I've been avoiding going to the Dr's for a while now, as I'm very scared.
Every few months, I have a day or so where I urinate blood. Also some bloodclots. No real pain.
Then it will seemingly dissapears for a few months, and will then return for a day or so.
I'm assuming it's something terrible.
Other symptoms seem to be frequent/weak urination.
Sometimes a mild/dull pain in one of my testicles.
Has anyone experienced this? WHy would it be every few months like this?
I plan to call my GP tomorrow as it happened again a minute ago for the first time in a few months and i'm plucking up the courage.
I'm petrified of the cystoscopy. (pain and embarassment)
I had my urine tested for an unralted issue a while ago, and it was apparently 'clean' (even though this was only a day after i'd been urinating what looked like almost pure blood)
How can this be??
What will the process be? (im in the UK)
Will gp send me straight to a specialist?
Even if my urine has no blood in it tomorrow, will they still be able to test it for cancer cells?

My name is Sam, I am 29 years old, I have similar kind of problem now, I know you will understand the anxiety it causes, I stumbled upon your post through google. I have had my first blood clot drop in urine about two years ago and I was so anxious and scared but It went away as I drank loads of water (about 6 litres) in 2 hours. Everything was normal untill I got it again after about 6 months, this time I noticed that I did not go for a pee after sex and slept and next morning is when it happened. I did the same course again, drank lots of water and went to pee many times and it was gone in two hours. So after this incident I made sure I go to pee if I had sex, and it never happened since then.
Now it happened again yesterday, this time I have no idea why, I did not have sex since last one week, I have been drinking very less water lately.
My question is when you say blood in urine , do u mean two drops in the end after u urinate, because thats what I get? or you mean bloody urine (red coloured)?
I get normal urine but two drops in the end of blood.
Please let me know if my symptoms are similar to yours?
I am really scared of the procedures I will have to go through ...
