Internal tremors & buzzing HELP!!!

Posted , 13 users are following.

Hey all...

I have been getting this really odd internal vibration buzzing feeling in my legs, stomach & chest for about a month now... ever since I came off an antidepressant (it started while I was on the antidepressant)... It only happened occasionally to begin with but now I'm dealing with it all day & everyday.

Every time I mention it to a Dr they brush me off or on one occasion I was blatantly ignored...

I honestly don't know what to do? Anyone had this? Is it anxiety related or do I need to take this further?

I forgot to mention I also feel very rundown but I also have a 4 months old Daughter who isn't sleeping well..

HELP!!!

    I know what you mean!

I get these internal tremors constantly. It is definitely an Anxiety symptom though. Sometimes to me it feels like my whole body is shaking uncontrollably yet to my partner, I look perfectly calm and relaxed / still. When my anxiety gets bad, the tremors do and when my anxiety drops so do the physical symptoms. I think it must be a type of stress response.

Best thing I have found is to try and take your mind off it and accept its just anxiety. It's difficult but it does pass.

Hi! Firstly I'm sorry you have to deal with this but I'm also glad I'm not alone. As selfish as that is.

I have had it for a good month now and it just won't go away. Is this something that can last this long? I'm also feeling incredibly rundown too so it's hard to accept it's all anxiety.

    Louise,

that symptom started for me when I was in my 20s. I also had several other symptoms of stress and anxiety. I have had that buzzing or vibration sensation off and  on for many years.  I get it mainly when I am feeling anxious and stressed out. I have had many test done and all of them come back normal. Try and relax about this because it’s anxiety related.  Anxiety and stress produce symptoms that are related to the nervous system. That’s why you feel the vibration. Symptoms related to stress cannot hurt you. The main thing to do is learn how to relax your mind so that the symptoms diminish.  The symptoms of anxiety is your body‘s way of telling you there’s too much tension and stress.

when you feel run down that’s when anxiety can creep in and take over. When you’re immune system is low, you are more vulnerable.

I know it’s difficult when you have a young baby, but really try to take care of yourself as well. Try to get in a little exercise, eat healthy, listen to meditations and YouTube for anxiety.  I have dealt with this for a very long time but have learned  how to stay more in control of anxiety

you’re going to be fine. 🌸🌸🌸

      Hi Jan,

In your 20s?  I'm in my 20s 28 to be exact.

The thing is I don't think I'm stressed? I mean my life is a bit stressful with a 4 month old and no help from anyone other than my partner who works long hours due to travel time. She's also got hip dysplasia and not sleeping well so it hasn't been fun. I'm feeling incredibly rundown now too... I just feel foggy all the time and constantly finding myself squinting. I even found yesterday the muscles in my legs felt like they were burning when I stretched to pick up my Daughter... I feel like everything hurts and I get tingling in my face and arms too... All of this can be anxiety related? I just find it hard to convince myself because I tend to get ignored by the Drs I've been to. It's very frustrating.

I started meditating but now find it near impossible to find the time. That goes for exercise too... I'm in Australia so it's incredibly hot here at the moment so going for a walk at lunchtime it's usually too hot especially for Bub.

I try and do exercise in the afternoon but my Daughter has decided she just doesn't sleep anymore in the afternoon resulting in her becoming grumpy and wanting to go to bed at 5:30pm... then dinner & a shower it's usually 7:30ish and I'm shattered and off to bed to get up early morning to feed her.

      Hi Jan

That explains why I keep getting these internal vibrations back when I have the Flu ( Immune System )  . I have had them on and off for 18 years now .  Last time I had the Flu in 2015 on the 6th day of the Flu they started back up again and lasted about 7 weeks .  I got the Flu last week and here we are again on the 6th day back with a bang , lets see how long they stay for this time

Yes,  I had numbness and tingling in arms legs,  The feeling that there is a hair or something on my arm  or face when there was nothing there, floaters in my eyes, ringing in my ears which I still have, rapid heart rate, skipped heartbeats, felt like someone was sitting on my chest so difficulty getting air in, funny feeling in head, lightheadedness,  I had vertigo which is like the room is spinning a couple of times,.

at that time in my 20s when I had all of these things at once I was convinced I had MS. But I did not. Imagine, all of those symptoms plus more caused from stress and anxiety over a long period!

The thing is that doctors can’t do much except prescribe medication and suggest visiting a therapist because they can’t actually see what we are going through like they can see a broken bone. So that’s why a lot of doctors brush it off and sometimes think we are making these things up. That’s the frustrating part.

but I want you to know that even after having all those symptoms I am now in my 50s and doing well. I don’t get  The symptoms like I used to but even if I get a little thing here or there I basically ignore it. But I just wanted you to know that the symptoms related to stress and anxiety cannot hurt you.

I have learned how to relax more and enjoy life and not to take it too seriously because nothing is worth losing your health over.??🙂

So you've been dealing with anxiety for 30 years? Wow...

It's very frustrating when Drs just brush me off and look at me like I'm nuts. I go in to the Drs pretty well dressed and composed so maybe I need to just go in and show them exactly how I'm feeling.

I'm glad you are doing well 😀 It does give me hope... My biggest problem is I have had these physical symptoms for months and they just seem to be getting worse... I have days where I'm a complete mess because I just don't feel normal in my body or mind after having my Daughter... I want my old self back. It's hard to convince myself that all this is anxiety when it's mainly physical and my mind convinces me I must be sick... Like you I am terrified I have MS, a brain tumour or something along those lines.

Your physical symptoms are terrifying!!! I am sorry you went through it. Glad you are better and able to give me hope that it does get better xx thank you ??

      Jan,

I have exact same symptoms that you had in your 20s.

Did you get generalized pain all over body during that time. This is a new symptom I am experiencing from past few days.

I am 28 yr old unmarried my future looks bleak for me, i think i have MS. So i am holding off my wedding due to this. Cant share this with any one. 2 neuros and one ms specialist ruled out MS, sais I am overthinking I am a hypochondriac. I have had tests like MRI on brain and spine. They are clear.

Looking at you now how you survived after all these years gives me hope. That I might get better too. Can you give me some tips to sail tjis difficult period or what you did to get through this ??

      Pleaseeeee ❤️❤️

It’s absolutely amazing what stress can do. I didn’t realize how stressed out I was until I got those symptoms. I mean I knew I had anxiety but not to the point of getting those symptoms. Stress and anxiety really take a toll on the body and mind. It’s exhausting and that’s why we feel so rundown.  Take care of yourself! 🌸😁??
