Hi. Yes my weight is up at this point. Now it's harder for me to drop weight. It's so weird because I had lost weight in the summer and early fall. Now I am careful with what I'm eating and I'm up 8 lbs! Yes to heart palpitations. I haven't had a period since July and I just turned 46. Earlier in the summer I had vertigo and lots of hot flashes. Now not so much.

Yes I have horrible heart palpitations, I feel quite breathless & then become anxious & the chest pains start again! I’ve had cardio checks, ecg, echo gram, monitor & a stress test all ok but still I panic when they happen. My last period was October 16 , im 56 but can’t put any weight on. It’s not a pleasant time😥I get really bad palpitations when I fall asleep they wake me up

Hi! Yes I lost weight without changing my diet or my training. I notice that I have lost muscle mass and I'll try to gain it. So it's something that happens, don't worry!

I typed a long post yesterday seemed this did not post - sorry. Over a six month period alot has gone for me healthwise. But more noticable from around November to now has been a decrease in my appetite and weight loss. Im 5ft 2 and usually weigh around 60kg and this weight was stable up to late October. By January I weighed in at 54 kg now I realise that having been ill with 2 utis there may have been some knock on effect. But honestly the multidue of periM symptoms that have since come around and when I think back retrospectively have just come on top of me like a waterfall (waking in sleep; headaches daily; joint pains neck should and hips hands; dry skin despite how regularly I moisturise; irritate gums and left eye pain along with vision being blurry) oh (crying spellings and general apathy) My weight has been worrying as now my utis have cleared up I still have a lessened appetite and dont feel as hungry to eat in a day maybe a slice of toast, some yogurt at a push picking leftovers from my 9 year old's dinner?
I feel I've lost muscle and my frame feels and looks weak. I usually wear a size 10 bottoms and 12 top but my clothes now sag on me and I feel self concious in what I'm wearing. Even leggings with elastine are baggy on me and my breast tissue has rapidly changed I do to change my bras to smaller.
My weight as it is right now says I am with normal range and my BMI is with range 23 but I feel my overall frame is different because of the muscle loss it distressing.
I had not heard that this was a symptom of PeriM as you always hear the opposite. Now I worry daily and this could also cause my appetite to be suppressed and hence further weight loss.
Has anyone had any resolution with dealing with this healthly.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kim
Sorry for delay in responding.
How are you doing ?
Its been up and down few weeks. I have been started on Femonston HRT and been taking for the last 2 weeks so too early for any real improvements in my symptoms. I completely understand were your coming from and whilst I continue to look for solutions and answers (are there any really!!) in trying to deal with the traide of symptoms. Speaking to the GYN consultant today and reading up on the weight loss, I think this seems to be abtributed to muscle mass loss that happens with age and when hitting our 40s. Its really scary and I feel my shape and frame have just changed in the last 6 months. I'm now trying to see if I can incorporate some protein and weight excercise into the small exsistence of a routine I have at the moment as still feeling tired most days.
Take care X

I have no solution but i do seem to be having the same symptoms. How come nobody has mentioned this before. I have a lot of night sweats and palpations and dont feel that hungry. I just put it down to stress lately but its just ongoing..... Is it our thyroids in stead?
