Is it necessary to get a gallbladder removed for a stone of 3mm?

At present it is not creating any discomfort. Can this single stone be harmful? Or it can be removed without surgery.

is there any homeopathic or natural remedy to dissolve this stone?

    Hey Daffs

thanks for the reply. I am going to get another eye test this week, hopefully.

I know that when you reach each decade your eyes change and I am now 60 and am going from short sighted ness to long but only in one eye. It is very disconcerting lol.

Is it just me or has anyone else become scared and anxious to see their doctor now?

Not scared or anxious but fed up with being told very little.

I used to be scared like this before bcause they will send me off for an operation. Now I'm armed with enough information and knowledge so I know what to expect and stay one step ahead of them, i know the different options available and the worst possible outcomes and, so on both occasions (outpatients appointment and at GP) i declined the offer for them to operate on me since at this time it is not causing me any problems.

When i was last having the scan a few years agi the radiographer was unsure what was inside me and kept pressing hard on my abdomen which caused a bit of pain & discomformt for a few weeks in the GB region but they recorded a few 1.5 - 2 cm stones but im not convcinced with their results. In a teaching hosptial at the Royal London my body was under the care of mere 'learners' in the x-ray department. How pathetic!

I know what you mean Trex, I am not convinced about my oesophagus results as at first I was told I had Barrets Oesphagus(can turn cancerous) and then later I was told its ordinary oesphagitis, when I queried this the consultant was so abrubt and dismissive with me and I didn't get an answer. Ever since this has made me afraid of them. Plus I suffer from post traumatic stress after my Brother died in the most horrific way five years ago, which has caused me severe anxiety so I feel they just don't take me seriously.

I think we need to stand up and say, I didn't come here to be insulted, I came here for you to do your job properly , but if you are not up to it !!!

Yes designergirl I wish I had just got up and walked out.

I know that my doctor has put in my notes that I am afraid of bowel cancer as every hospital session I go to they stress that I am at no greater risk than anyone else. They must think I am stupid, both my parents died from it and my maternal grandmother!

I will say tho, that Apple cider Vinegar is keeping the pain at bay! And hopefully shrinking the stone!

Really ? Apple cider vinegar works ?

I once got this ACV from sainsburys to catch tiny fruit flies, i tasted some undiluted - just a drop and my throat was burning for a few days that i never go near it again.

What is the concentration/dilution ratio you are using ? what brand is it ?

I have the same problem designergirl. My gp has put in my notes about my severe anxiety, so at the outset I am not taken seriously.

There you go Jane, that way the docs have diagnosed you before you walk in the door. I keep very calm when in the doctors consulting room now.

Trex, the ACV I take is Aspalls Organic which can be bought at any supermarket. I just take a teaspoon in a glass in the mornings and put it on salad, I pickle beetroot with it, you should eat beetroot it is very good for cleansing your gallbladder, and anywhere else I can take it.

I do not drink a glass of it you can do so much damage with it as you can burn all through. Just take little and often, no more than a teaspoon or two if you can stand it.

I sometimes mix it with not form concentrate (Lidl) apple juice, tastes bit funny but you can swallow it better.

Iate some gooseberry fool yesterday and was on my second, I had a real sugar craving, and looked at the fat content in it. 12 grams with 9 grams of saturated fat. I should have been in agony but I only have slight pain in my lower back.

I don;t know what benefits ACV have in the long term but I will stick with it. I certainly won't be eating that touch fat tho. However! ver , it stops the bowel motion being so light in colour. Apologies for TMI but it shows the liver is working properly.

I don't think the concentration is important as long as you are not drinking it neat!

i take it that you fill a full glass with water (8 ounces) and then add a teaspoon of ACV and stir to mix it ?

can you drink it anytme or is it first thing in the morning? after meals? before meals? or on an empty stomach ?

From my readings, you should not drink anything for half an hour before or after meals as it dilutes your liver enzymes which is not good. I take one in the morning, and couple more during the day.

As I say I don't know the long term benefits, it just suits me for now.
