Is it necessary to get a gallbladder removed for a stone of 3mm?
At present it is not creating any discomfort. Can this single stone be harmful? Or it can be removed without surgery.
is there any homeopathic or natural remedy to dissolve this stone?

I am replying to everybody, stones, blurred vision, cancer. I have 2 stones 7 and 8mm each. I am relieved to know why I need to lie down after I eat: to role the stones away from the duct to let bile flow. My fatigue is because I not only am not digesting my fats, I am not absorbing the fat soluable nutrients. I know why I have stones. I took steroids, Prednisone, in 2012. My size 2 body went to size 7 in 10 days. My glucose went from 82 to prediabetic and cholesterol skyrocketed like a stairway to heaven. My docs asked me to take Lipitor. I declined instead saying Prednisone needs to be stopped as side effects worse than my disease! From steroids I have had all the damage surgically removed. I don't plan to remove my gallbladder. The steroids were for blurred and double vision from hyper-IgG4-disease. You can now google it thanks to my participation in research. I was interesting research subject because I was the only one who didn't have cancer. Too complicated for this page. I MUST tell everyone to stop bashing doctors. Doctors PRACTICE medicine. The body is not like a man-made machine. Yes, medicine can grow an ear on a rats back but can't make it hear. I have zero interest in medicine or touching strangers. A doctors' learning never stops. Instead of bashing doctors look at what YOU can control. When you get home from a doc appointment do you still have questions? You know, insurance companies, employers and docs allocate just minutes to meet with you. It is a business. Your mechanic doesn't want to talk transmissions, he wants to do the job, and the next. YOU can write your questions down before your visit. YOU can take quick notes of what your doctor says. YOU can come home and journal your visit, research what you don't know, and prepare your questions for your next visit. Let me give you an example of how I was a bad patient. The rules for every doctor appointment is to bring your medicine (so you don't write it incorrectly). I bring the papers from the pharmacy and keep the list printed from my appointment in my wallet in case of car accident. Some people wear bracelets for emergency but I would have to wear a sleeve! ! I never thought to mention Fish oil nor herbs since they weren't Rxed. Before chemo, before surgeries I would really load up on fish oil I was taking for itchy skin. I thought it might extra-protect my heart. My blood pressure was scary low all the time and on one occassion the nurse said so low I should be in ICU. It wasn't until last year I found a web site called drugs.com. I did my drug profile of not just my current meds but every med given even after surgeries 3 years before including morphine, vicodin that I thought were the most dangerous. In addition, I included every ingredient on my vitamin bottle and on my tea bag contents list including cinnamon, camomile and every other thing I thought harmless. When finished the site searches for interactions. I was sure morphine by IV in the hospital 3 years before with my current pain killer Norco would come up dangerous. They provide Red, Orange and Yellow warning flags to indicate levels of danger. Surely morphine by IV would get a red flag. WRONG! What came up was fish oil combined with ibuprofen, or acetaminophen or aspirin. I quit the fish oil and have had perfect, enviable blood pressure all year. This shows you how we non-doctors can be ignorant bad patients. So take a day to organize your patient protocol. Make the most of the few minutes with your doctors. It takes many years for a doctor to get rich from practicing medicine. If your doctor is rich, rejoice, s/he is good at it and well practiced, not worried any more of paying hundreds of thousands of dollars student loans and likely their good reputation is paying for that equipment and staff to see in to the ever-changing universe of YOUR body, not their own. These forums are amazing. I've read everything available on my newly found gallstones. One particular thing posted as a gallbladder cleanse is particularly disturbing. It is a woman who says she drinks 1/2 cup of olive then 1/2 cup lemon juice and sees stones in the toilet in the morning. OH PLEASE!!!! How many fried donuts would you have to eat to equal 1/2 cup of oil in one sitting? SECOND, the oil may cause the GB to release bile if it isn't too sick to do so, which mixes with olive oil to make olive soap balls. Please do your research and check with your doctor before trying anything!
