It's 10 weeks yesterday since I had a total knee replacement......im feeling depressed because I thought by now I would be much better,my knee is stiff, sore, and can't walk properly, I dread going shopping my knee gets so painful and cooking dinner or housework I spend the time waiting to sit down, im sorry I had it done, the pain before(osteoarthritis) operation wasn't constant like this is..have you any encouragement for me please Rose

Hi Alimarie, your great to be back working, so your doing great, thank you for your kind agreement with my woes, youv made me feel better too,and I'm in total agreement with you on the colleague issue,I'm getting the surprised reaction from people.....its still sore?? I find it hard to explain then what I mean, have you heard from anyone about how long it takes to feel your leg is strong again, I feel my leg weak after only a short walk? Rose

I’m not back at work because I felt like it. It was purely financial for me. I ran right through my paid sick leave, and now my checked is docked significantly for every day I miss. I would still be at home recovering more if I could afford it.

I with you all there . I had rtkr done 8th May, still hurts especially if I’ve over done it. Haven’t got the pain I had before (bone on bone) and I’m still on codine. Keep up with the exercises I do two round the block, with my dog ... walking machine three times a day and at weekends I do longer walks along with the one the physio gives you . Xx
