Is lower leg pain PMR?

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hello all. Had an atrocious night of pain starting in both ankles shooting up to knees. Currently hovering around knees / calves.

Gets worse after eating. I don't know if this is PMR related. I'm diagnosed PMR & Diabetes 4 months.

The Internet tells me lower leg pain is not typically PMR? Would so much appreciate advice. ?

Do you take cholesterol medicine? If so your cholesterol medicine could be the culprit. This is what I found to be the culprit with my leg ache?

Sars77, can you describe the pain I have diabetic neuropathy, each of us is different so the pain is a little different, but it might help with the diagnosis. Good luck!

      Hello Michdonn.

It starts when I get up & walk. My ankles give way & is painful to bear weight. Next thing it's shooting up to the knees. After about an hour it feels as if someone is pulling a belt tight around my shins causing my knees to combust. What is your pain like? I'm new to PMR & Diabetes & still confused 🤔

Sars77, my neuropathy starts in my feet, toes really, I have lost feeling in my feet. The doctor test with a tuning fork or needle to see how much feel has been lost. The feet and hands themselves almost feel warm, with bee stings, crazy feeling, then the sharp stabbing pain that comes and goes, does not last long. That about it I just try to put it out of my mind, try not to concentrate on it and it just another joy on the journey. SMILING 🙂
