Is this an STD?

Posted , 3 users are following.

In september I had a 1-minute protected sex session and was interrupted (long story). These bumps appeared on my penis either slightly before this or slightly after, i don't remember. I do remember they finished showing up in a couple days. They do not hurt or itch and have remained benign for these 3 months and no more have showed up. No blistering, etc. I am experiencing no other symptoms of having an STD. I have done some reading and looking at pictures and think it could be molluscum or stress based (school's hard). I do share a shower with 4 people and know molluscum can be transmitted that way too. I wanted some further insight bc my derm is super busy.

Are you sure they weren't there before?  If they were, then they might just be Fordyce spots.

If not, then molluscum contagiosum is definitely a possibility, but you could ask over at the MC group:

    https://patient.info/forums/discuss/browse/molluscum-contagiosum-1426

and these links may also be useful (though the second one is written for doctors) :

    https://patient.info/doctor/molluscum-contagiosum-pro

I'd get checked out if I were you.  You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.

If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated.  Good luck.

Thank you so much! But it’s more than likely not a bad STD.... I’m not f****d right?

It doesn't look like anything serious to me, so I think you're fine.  I'd get checked out, but I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.  MC can be transmitted sexually, but not everyone would count it as an STI, since plenty of people get it without having sex.

Saw the picture. Either molluscum or genital warts. Use a Nokor needle and try to remove a small pearly ball from the core of one. If you cannot then it is warts. Go to a dermo and get a biopsy.

Derm took one look, said molluscum, and froze them off. Thanks everyone!
