I've been with this issue from two weeks, at starting it was a tiny red patch but with time the size of this red patch increase and after masturbation there is always some skin from my glans peeling off, I'm a virgin aged 23 don't know what to do, using canesten cream for about a week now with no visual effects.

      Hi Hamada,

Any resolution to this? I have something almost identical to what's in your original pics.

      Can you provide an update?

Hey, yea that issue was solved, it almost took 6 7 months to completely go away, but now I have developed a dry skin on my penis head, actually I came back to find cure for this dry skin.

Thank you for closing the loop. Mine is 90% gone after one week 2x daily desonide gel application.

It's barely visible now; hoping to see 100%. Dermatologist urged me to not use more than a week. If it comes back, I may resume per his response.

Overall I am 2 months into this glans color adventure, hope it will be in the rear view mirror soon.

Happy yours resolved and hope our experiences can help some forum members.

    hey Hamada,

    I have something similar.

    is your issue resolved?

It would be great if you provide any update.

Yea that issue was solved, clatemazole helped me alot but be very very careful if you opt to use it, use a tiny drop of that cream. It can adversely affect you, else just wash and dry your penis regularly abstain from masturbation and you'll be good.

hey! i'm having the same exact issue for 2 weeks now. it's not because of sex cause I didn't have any since forever, and I notice when it starts to fade it gets more red after masturbation or taking a shower. I take showers regularly and use my own products and towels. what is your overall advice for this? and is clotrimazole or desonide effective with it?

      Hi there, how has the problem progressed for you? I have a similar situation myself. From what I can tell from this thread the common symptoms of this ailment seem to be all related to the glans;

-its appearance is 'cracked' / wrinkled, possibly damaged layers of the glans

-red patches of skin (not raised) possibly occurring because of the above^

Its just my speculation that these maybe the result of masturbation continually for a long period of time without proper lubrication/moisturisation between occurrences.

And also, possibly the use of harsh soaps or the wrong topical treatments daily, or at least consistently each week. Not sure if it is a fungal infection as no one has mentioned any smell or peeling skin. Yet I have these symptoms myself, but it could easily be something unrelated or have developed due to constant daily washing of the glans and not fully drying and then moisturising. does this all sound like your problem? and like i said how have you dealt with it youself? If you would not mind saying. Cheers.

Ehi! Have you solved your situation?

What I could suggest you is:

    • Go to the dermatologist
    • Take a swab of the penis head
    • Take all STD tests
    • If everything come back negative you have to take a biopsy of the affected skin.

In my opinion, if every test come back negative, this could be lichen planus or genital psoriasis
