Is this fibromyalgia?

I havent been officially diagnosed but I was told by a doctor that theyre leaning towards me having fibromyalgia...im not sure if my symptoms fit. My primary doc pressed on some fm points on my back a couple weeks ago but it didnt hurt at the time but now when i press on other points its actually sore. But my main symptoms are intense burning in arms and legs (mostly thighs) when laying down. If i fall asleep on the couch it doesnt happen or when i first go to bed ill be fine..the burning usually happens later on like after getting up in the middleof the night..I also have very visible veins in the arms and legs as well. It seems like the veins show up where it hurts. Theyre especially prominent on my feet...my hands and feet will also hurt either when laying down or during the day...And i noticed my feet have higher arches now, it looks like the skin at the arch is thinning and i see a lot of veins there and even my fingers and toes have veins that werent visible before. Every morning my legs look purplish and has a mottled look to it but that eventually subsides, its mostly on the thighs...a couple months ago this all started with pain in only the hands and feet and then progressed to this...is this simmilar to fm??

    Sounds like mild fibro perhaps.

Try a keto diet, look up dr berg, thomas delauer or stephanie keto on how to do it.

Could be edema and inflammation causing your burns and inflammation symptoms.

I had severe severe edema, keto fixed it.

As for fibro im trialling numerous natural remedies and will announce here or on youtube once i get a definitive result.

Ive been on countless forums and seen many specialists, the last thing u wanna do is spend excessive amounts of money on medications, and temporary relief drugs.

Go on a keto diet (adapt to maybe carnivore) with keto macros or higher with protein.

Exercise, Do yoga, stretch, and see if that helps.

Medications can do you more harm, and the placebo effect people will believe.

As for the veins, visit a vein clinic, possible thoughts, circulation issues, high blood pressure, varicose veins.

Again don't jump on "temporary relief drugs".

Thank you ill try those things. Ive considered circulation problems before

    Hi Anna,

unfortunately your doctor is not qualified to give a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia you will need to ask your GP to refer you to a Rheumatologist who will do tests to rule out certain things before diagnosing the condition. Good luck.

I was actually referred to hollistic medicine. My doctor thinks theres inflammatory things going on that was set off by giving birth

yep get a few blood tests to to know exact condition, muscle biopsy perhaps (doubt you'll need)

Then determine what to do if you get a no "disease result" then its most likely, autoimmune and you can start an AIP protocol with exercise. And Include fasting and keto if that doesn't work, cause AIP is moderately powerful but keto macros and fasting takes it to highest level in healing the human body/organs.

Fibromyalgia is a blanket term, to say inflammation in the body.

Can be linked to multiple things and not all separate meds or things work.

But a uniting factor of all cases is inflammation, and possible autoimmune or a disease like lupus or myositis.

So diet and fasting and exercise and spas. ice bath are the best weapons.

Fasting is probably the best. (like a Keto Omad diet) is best to start with, watch dr berg or thomas delauers stuff on youtube.

ive had multiple blood tests like creatine kinase, crp, esr which all came back normal

Im seeing a hollistic doctor and im pretty sure we're gonna discuss diet , i can bring this up during the appointment. All my blood tests were fine. The creatine kinase wasnt high at all

    • Posted

ok was just checking if your condition was similar to mine, but if that was low, its probably more on the side some sort of gut issue, environmental, emotionally triggered, my guess would be trial keto, reduce inflammation in the body and report back if it helps reduce the pain, the reason my keto is cool is cause its just a diet, and is healthy for you, unlike many meds and prescription stuff.

      autoimmune sux, indeed.

Prebiotics and probiotics in the diet help lots too.

Big health trend lately is fermented foods, sauerkraut, high meats, cheeses etc.

i have had xrays mri scans done also 4 blood tests the only thing it shows up is that my vitamin D is very low it should be 75,but it was 35,,some people can be the same with vitamin B12. 1 in 25 people suffer from fibromyalgia ,and yes your gp can diagnosed it.the sytoms are so many, the basics are your muscle are weak and very sore, the same with the tendons, and your joints, then there are chest pains, tummy problems, there are so manygoing hot and cold, body ,burning in your muscles, judith
