Hi all I have just been diagnosed with gentile herpes 2, I have been with my new partner for a few months and we have unprotected sex I was all clear of sexual transmitted infections as I thought but doctors don't test for herpes

We hadn't seen each other for a week or so then had sex after that I thought I had thrush and a urine infection took some tablets and seemed to help a few days later had sex again after my "thrush " was gone was abit painful but thought nothing of it just rough or nnot enough lubrication two days after that I found a ulcer on the inside of my labia ran to the doctors and she said you have herpes, shocked confused how could this happen to me I haven't been with anyone with ulcers on there gentiles.

3 agonizing days later of googleing and stressing results came up positive . sad

The doctor wasn't helpful at all gave me a sheet of paper and sent me on my way . I asked if I have now given it to my bf and she said no because there was no ulcers present but I don't believe this can be true there is so many different things on the Internet .

I haven't told him yet I don't no how to or how he will react I'm scared I have ruined his life has anyone been in this situation if so please help I'm having a really hard time excepting this and I don't no how I could be so unlucky !!

Hi all , I got my bloods back yesterday and it was hsv2 equivocal or something like that

I finally had the talk with my partner and told him I have been diagnosed with hsv2 and the doctor said it's a recent infection etc.

I asked him to go get tested but he doesn't want to and also he told me he knew a girl with herpes and knew a little bit about it . So iv now come to the conclusion that he has known or had the thought in the back of his head that maybe he has had hsv2 even with out any symptoms or has had symptoms once and never again so thought he couldn't pass it on .

I honestly don't no why herpes would come up in conversation unless you where sleeping with that person not something I'd go tell my friends about.

I agree w your assessment. Based on his lack of reaction, he knew he had it. Go w your gut instincts, which they say he knew. So now you need yo decide if you want to stay w someone who has decided you this way. Remember, this diagnosis changes nothing about you. This does not make you any less than, any less valuable, any less beautiful or less in anyway... W or w out it, you do not settle. Do jot stay cause you feel like no one else will want you, because that's not true. Do not stay, because it is easier. If you decide to stay, you stay because you really want to and there's none of that other stuff I mentioned creeping in your mind. You will have to be completely honest w yourself during this assessment period. It will be easy to fool yourself that you are staying for the right reasons. Good luck

I'd like to give him the benefit of doubt that he hasn't had symptoms but does carry the virus, and I'm going to make him get the tests regardless to how much he hates doctors and if he doesn't then I'll leave because then I no he would of already known he had it and purposely didn't tell me about it , but until then I don't want to end the relationship because I care deeply for him so only time will tell I guess

I think it is for some people. I felt worse than that 3 weeks after. For two months now, I started taking 1000mlgs of valtrex a day, because I was having obs twice a month on 500 daily and itched, w crawly nerve sensations on my vagina, rectum, back of thighs and butt like 20 or more times a day.

I started this a week back on my supplement schedule:

      - 3xs times the daily dose of vitamin c

      - 2xs daily dose of calcium

      - 2xs the daily dose of zinc and mag

      - 1x daily dose of omega 3 acids

And then what I added different, after reading about how 70% of our immune system I in our gut, that I needed to get more good bacteria in my gut. So I started taking a probiotic and one that can get passes your stomach acids, so your intestines can absorb them. I stopped taking valtrex 500mlgs twice a day and I am 3xa now w no symptoms. I HD a fluttery itch for two seconds on the first day and sense nothing .

I believe the probiotic has a lot to do w it. If your digestive track is high w inflammation due to the bacteria being off and possible high yeast, your immune system will be weak. I also wonder and suspect now, that for some people... The continued doses of valtrex was working against your immunity trying to get a hold around it.

I'll definitely get myself all that natural stuff, I got some lysine yesterday which are sopost to be very good and I'm still taking my antivials 1000 a day even tho the doctor said 500 but I'm just worried they will come back , I don't even no if it's safe to have sexual intercourse yet. Hopefully in time I'll learn to know the signs of a episode instead of thinking my finger is itchy iv got hsv2 there as well

I would take all that stuff for a week and then stop the meds like I did. I'm not itching at all and I had crazy symptoms every day.

I will only take it now, when I have an ob, which is usually before my period and during. Honestly I never thought I could get off meds. The thing I see that makes the biggest difference is the vitamin c and probiotics
