Just recently got dignosed

I just got told i got herpes n im so scared ive been on meds for a week now n its slowly workin but everytime i go pee n wipe it hurts so much... Even when i wash. Idk what to do or how to relieve the pain

    My swab test just came back negative. I thought the one only sore (inside my labia) was new enough (found it on saturday, swabbed tuesday at noon) and my doctor thought she swabbed well enough. Im just being inpatient but has anyone

    A) had a herpes like sore that wasnt actually herpes and

    B) had negative swab tests and positive blood tests? What are my chances of it really being negative?

      Both my swab and blood tests came back negative, I'm getting another blood test in a few weeks to be sure. By that stage antibodies against the virus should show up in the blood if I have it.

      Ok thank you for responding! Im of course holding onto a glimmer of hope that i dont have hav2. But its been two months since my 1st possible hsv contact. But i have been taking antivirals for a week so im sure that will mess with my blood test im taking today. Im going to stop taking valaxor so that my blood test in a month is a little more accurate

      It really is just a waiting game now, unfortunately but I am holding on hope that two negative results is a good sign
