Did anyone get a painful chest and tension between shoulder blades as a side effect from the tablets?

Thats anxiety dude, if a tablet is causing chest pains it would be best to go back to the doctor. No tablet should cause chest pain, maybe stress of thinking about side effects. If its like a tingling sensation then thats anxiety too but dont mess around with chest pains its always best to have them checked.

Hope all is ok and fingers crossed it is just a simple annoyance

No because she wouldn't have believed me! She told me to ignore the side effects! Prior to this though, I'd had a complete physical with an ECG etc.

If you check side effects of this drug on various sites, you will see others have experienced chest pain. Everyone has different side effects, I think I had them all!

I'm 10 months off of sertraline and still have withdrawl symptoms. If however you are worried, consult your Dr. for peace of mind.

Yea spoke on phone to one this morning, she just kept saying it's my anxiety and I need to take this as if I'm some wierd person and a nuisance to them

I found unless it's written in their medical books, or listed as a side effect in their drug book, they totally disregard you, at lest mine did. They always put it down to " your anxiety "! I didn't have them all the time, they came and went just like the ear ringing, the indigestion, the hand tingling, the head aches, the jaw tightening. I was beside myself until I found this forum that others were experiencing the same. That forum is no longer but it was " my life line"!

As previously mentioned I've been off 10 months now, and still have nausea, most every morning. Hand tingling, and low blood sugar is prevalent. I'm a bear until i eat. These are all symptoms post sertraline I never had before.

Try googling anti depressant side effects, do your own research. There's a site on here " do sertraline withdrawl symtoms ever go away". It's an example of what people have experienced while on the drug and after discontinuation.

Many people breeze through with few side effects, we are all different.

You take care and keep us posted.

Sounds like this drug isnt worth the withdrawal symptoms. I get side effects alot with medicines so I don't know if worth taking or not

Every medication has some form of side effects and withdrawal. Just because someone has had side effects or withdrawal doesnt mean you will. I got awful serotonin syndrome with citilopram that put me in hospital i nearly died. That was from 6 tablets at 20mg so i never wanted another tablet ever again and i found the courage to go on sertraline as ive heard its the best for most people but not all. And ive had a walk in the park with my side effects nothing really concerning bad stomach for a few days and headaches but nothing compared to anxiety itself. Keep on it worth it

You have to ride the storm unfortunately, your already brave as you have sort help for your anxiety. Your half way there,

Ok let me tell you something as im here to help you like others have helped me. Lets say you packed in the tablets and carried on with your anxiety untill next time you need something to take the edge off back to square one just like i did. I wish i had started these tablets 8 months ago but i was scared to death of them. Side effects your experienceing will only be temporary and then you will get better and better. Im on day 16 amd seen a massive improvement. If you look on side effects what others experienced you may only get 1 you may get all of them but there is things to take the edge off while you do.

Honestly i get awful side effects but this tablet has been like a night after a run or the gym were you feel tired and weak but not ill. That only lasts aslong as your brain re wires. Keep up the good work i promise you will not regret it.

P.sask the doctor for a beta blocker (propanalol) to stop the panic symptoms then you will walk through these few weeks like a breeze

Wish doctors told me that, caffeine I hardly have now anyway but I didn't know about the sugar. Feel like such a whimp, used to think I was a strong person but I've lost that. Sorry in a low mood today

You will be strong again and your not a wimp at all. Ever since i was young ive always played football and i actually got paid for it i was offerd pro contracts but i turned them down i was always signing autographs for little kids outside the ground after training ect i was on top of the world but after i quit as i fell out of love with it i had all this anxiety hit me at once. I felt weak too and a wimp but belive it or not your alot stronger than those without anxiety or depression as they have never walked our path. It takes alot to stay strong through all this

Yea you never know what's it's like till you go through it. My partner has been through i I tried everything to help him, even put up with the way he treated me because I knew it wasn't him doing it. Now I'm going through it, I feel alone, as he doesn't talk to me about it, or comfort me, just gets stressy and looks at me as if I'm useless. He should understand really. But hey ho. You ever thought bout finding another hobby you are interested in? I was active before this, then had my operation and been downhill ever since

I have a little girl on the way so that will be my hobby hahaha.

So your telling me your fella went through this and you stuck by him. Did he recive treatment? Did it make him better?.

But now you are going through it that he doesnt listen to you as thats awful love. My wife is the most supportive person in the world she treats me like a king shes heavily pregnant and she wants to run around after me i have to tell her no lol.

What symptoms do you have right now as we speak

Yea I stuck by him, even when he split up with me and went of with someone else, we got back together, said so many hurtful things, but it was all because of depression, it wasn't like him, so I stuck by. He tried treatment, two different types and made him be sick all the time, so he stopped. Don't know how he got through it in the end as it slowly started to fade away, which was good. He's notary good with emotions, so doesn't know how to be towards me. Doesn't believe in medication to help or psychiatrists. At the moment I have pain in my chest which doctor checked today, looks like it's the muscles in my chest, very low mood and no energy. Havnt taken my second tablet yet. Congratulations, hope all goes well with the birth

See what im saying your stronger than i am already as if anyone cheated on me id be long gone but you gave him a second chance. Do you think it might be the stress of all that with your fella might have caused your low self esteem. Sorry if im being personal but that must of been tough.

Write on here everyday and i will help you through it just think day 17 tomorrow for me and soon will be you. Ive just turned 27 if you dont mind me asking how old are you and do you have any little ones. Thanks im looking forward to my girl coming

ive had time to get over that, he left me twice during his depression, the second time i refused to take him back at the time, i was so angry and suffered panic attacks at the time, lost alot of weight. after 6 months i took him back as he was past his depression by then and i wasnt angry anymore, that was a year ago, the only reason the anxiety has come back is because back in march i had a missed miscarriage and then in may i had an ectopic pregnancy, had to have surgery to stop the internal bleeding and remove left fallopian tube. im 28 and i got a 9, 8 and 3 year old

Ahhhh i see wow you have been through an awful lot and i only asked if you had kids as they normally take all your energy and attention so less time thinking about side effects. Maybe explain to your family you need comfort for these few weeks maybe ask your parents or his to take the kids for a few days so you have a little you time maybe over the weekend. I will be on here everyday soon as you message back as it beeps on my phone and will be able to answer any question or worry you have. Keep strong
