Knee discoloation

i took a  photo of my knee earlier as I've been keeping a record on the progress of my scar

the photo looks strange as if you can see the metal through the skin

has anyone else experienced this?

It is a timely question for me as bruising showed up just below my patella this morning after my aquasize workout. I was really working on flexion. There was also some pain and stiffness that accompanied it. I am happy that the bruising hasn't increased in size as the day went on and the extra pain has disappeared. I have never had this happen before. How is your bruising going? Has anyone else had this happen after 9 good weeks?

Hi I'm 9 weeks and on Tuesday went to hydrotherapy. The next day the area below the patella was very swollen and sore.

I went again yesterday and mentioned it to the physio who told me it's quite normal for a few months for this to happen as we increase movement and effort etc.

I'm rubbing on some voltaren today, resting, elevating and icing. Later I'll go for a slow walk.

      Hope yours improves! smile

      Hello

my bruising still happens after too much exercise

i mentioned it to my GP yesterday but he said it wasn't really his field and to see what the Surgeon says when I see him in February.

but the bruising does make the knee look odd and I'm just glad it's Winter here in the UK so I can keep the knee hidden biggrin
