l have a weird sensation of pressure in my front upper teeth

I have been feeling a weird sensation in my teeth since last September, at first it was like pressure, while eating,I felt that they were misplaced and extremely tight. Every time l brushed them l would feel that l moved them or that they would fall  or something,(though they were solid) and then l'd feel the tightness, as if i had residual food in there.

Lately i ve felt that they are  swollen or stiff (like they were made of wood kinda) and they even hurt a little,as if they were impacted,  it is almost unnoticeable and i must clarify that l haven't suffered any dental injury,

I think my gums are healthy, l do not bleed, my breath doesn't smell bad, l do not suffer from bruxism, extreme temperatures do not bother me.

It is not a big thing but has become and obsession, lm afraid they might drop out from one minute to another and that has made the sensation even harder, l think.

l don't wanna be crybabish and run to the dentist due to this, if the symptoms were harder l would, but it is sort of mild,

is the future consequences what worry me. Anybody else has gone through this? Right now i have fear of hard things such as apples and nuts and the like because l do feel some annoyance, though l don't know what percentage is psychological and what is real nuisance, even when l smile l feel that they get tight or move...

Ok, so i have experienced the same thing, I was at the point where i was going back to the dentist to make them take a look, however just before I did i wanted to rule everything out. So i thought i would try a decongestent so went to the local asda and brought otrivine and sudafed max strength no holding much hope but that desperate i tried it and the relief was instant no more tight teeth that felt like someone elses try it its a small price to pay if it works

I'm so glad I found this page! I've been experiencing this longer than most of you I think. I had a number of things done to my teeth though. I had crowns fitted on my upper front teeth, root canals, braces and orthognathic surgery. I spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to achieve a perfect healthy smile and what I've been left w/after it was over a couple years later is a nightmare. I at first started having these sensations like my teeth were spinning around 360 degrees inside the crown. Sometimes I would feel them sloooooooowly turning then I'd hear a loud SNAP sound. Then sometimes I'd feel like they were being pulled back and they'd 'slam' forward. Eventually after 2 years or so those loud noises stopped and I was left with what I have now (which can come and go). It feels like someone is twisting them, sometimes it feels as if they're about to fall out completely, like I can feel them flapping in the breeze but if I run to the mirror, they're fine and if I push on them they don't feel loose at all. I personally suspect it's nerve damage (maybe from the surgery or the root canal) but I don't know how they can ever do anything about it now and I'm afraid of the looks I'd get if I ask the doctor, until I can at least name it. Hopefully someone can figure this out. I HATE it and can't think of anything but this. I just leave my tongue on the back of my two front teeth as if I'm afraid at any second I'll have no front teeth. It's awful but I love that I'm not alone.

Biteguards are used at night and dentist can make one customized according to your teeth. These help in headaches and teeth clenching in sleep.

Has anyone figured out how to deal with this?

I had a root canal on two of my teeth on October and they've been fine up until last week. I have this weird dull pressure that doesn't hurt and that dullness keeps moving around in my mouth. I checked with my dentist who did the operation but he couldn't find anything wrong with my teeth. This pressure sometimes goes away but for the most part, it lingers in my mouth. It gets slighlty worse when I put a bit more pressure on the teeth experiencing dullness. It doesn't stop me from what I'm doing and I can sleep well, I just want it to stop and feel back to normal.

I have an appointment with my general dentist in a month (Due to Covid) but I don't want to deal with this feeling until then. Judging by other responses, they may not find anything to help.

Though it makes me happy that I'm not alone in this, I still wish there was an available solotion. If you have some idea on what's going on or how I can relief myself from this, I would really appreciate it.

I have this problem for over a year now. But I can't clench or grind, because of my overbite. Yet my upper front teeth and lower front teeth hurt badly and feel tight like they will fall out when I laugh. Unlike many here I have no crowns.

Funny thing though: The minute I get stressed about something else, my teeth get cured. I also do not feel any discomfort while eating.

So this is definitely caused by tension in the jaw. The minute I relax like while I'm eating or get too worried about something else, the pain and tension in my teeth is gone. Painkillers like Paracetamol are good too.

I am not sure but it could be because of sinus infection tooth pain. It occurs when the fluid that builds up in the sinus cavities puts pressure on your upper teeth. You should consult a doctor and check out if this could be the possibility

I came across this thread as I was googling odd symptoms I was having. I wanted to add since I've found some relief hoping this might help someone else out.

My pain seems to be triggered by my sinuses. I didn't realize it at first because it wasn't the usual sinusitis symptoms, although I have had fluid and on and off ear pain for about 3 months. The front teeth pain started about a month ago my GP put me on an antibiotic and it helped slightly, but that "wooden" feeling is still there and I feel like I cant close my mouth quite right.

I went to a chiropractor who pressed along my maxillary sinuses and OUCH it was clear the teeth pain is triggered by the sinuses. The relief from the correlation! Seeing the chiropractor regularly to try to drain the sinuses, and have an appointment with an ENT soon to look into it further since the pain/sensation is still around. I will try to update in a month with any answers I get.

hello! did you found out what was the problem?

i just started with the same symptoms after an implant infection. i have gone to 4

different dentists, have made x-rays and tomography of upper and lower teeth and theres no apparent cause!!!!

it first started in the front upper teeth, and then also in the bottom front. i also feel like if my tooth were going to fall out! but they dont. Also I feel some kind of clicking like if teeth were misplacing.

i have had severe anxiety and A LOT of

weird symptoms throughout my life. people are also saying its my anxiety. My family is also losing their minds because of this i have spent a lot of money for people to tell me: Everything looks fine!! im taking calcium, magnesium, D3 and K2. But i havent noticed any improvements yet. I floss and brush my teeth every day. Even bought a waterpik!

before this, I got a very weird neurological problem post covid infection. i started feeling numbness in one arm and my left thumb was twitching and moving for months.

when those symptoms ended, the tighntess in my teeth started. Im losing my mind... This is debilitating in all aspects.

    please help me

I had been dealing with this same thing for at least 6 months. I kept going into my dentist and they found nothing wrong until one day i seen a new dentist in the office and she told me it was being caused from my bite. Apparently my bottom teeth were hitting into the back side of my top front teeth. I am now in braces. I also had to take 3 ib profrin every six hours for 3 days to stop the inflammation it had caused. I have anxiety anyway and this strange sensation was driving me crazy. Hope this helps and you are doing better.
