Labs second time around!

Posted , 7 users are following.

I had labs in 2008 that lasted 2 years. I think its back again...suffering 8 weeks already. My symptoms are: dizziness like i'm drunk, pressure and plugging in left ear, headaches, pressure at the back of my head, anxiety and generally feel unwell. Anyone have ear pressure and pain as i didnt have this symptom the first time around??? Your responses would be appreciated.

Hi Debbie, i get that pressure at the base of my skull and was told it's part of silent migraines, along with neck stiffness, and all the rest of stumbling around like a drunk, with strange wonky vision, left ear bunged up.  When i fly it always affects me badly afterward too and i also get pain in my ears when the plane is descending preparing to land.

All i can say, is we are all very similar and it pretty much hell trying to explain our condition. It seems nobody gets it.

sometimes it goes away for a whole week, but mostly it comes and goes during the space of a day, it can be worse in the morning upon wakening and then ease off and then it can come back out of nowhere.  It is totally unpredictable.  Sometimes i think it has gone away and get optimistic only to find it is back again.  I was doing well most recently but this week it has come back again.  It is a mystery.

I am much worse in the mornings too. It has never been good for a whole week though. How long have you had this?

2 years this month.  Just went to bed one night fine and woke up with everything spinning in my head.  That was BPPV, now i have also been diagnosed with silent migraines causing the balance problems. It seems to be the best way i can describe it is like a computer, something has broken on my hard drive.  Sometimes i think it will never go away and is something i need to learn to live with as when it goes away i get all excited and think i am healed and then it comes back again.  It is so unpredictable.

Goodness that is a long time to be suffering. Do you get pain and/or pressure in your bunged up ear?

Occasional feeling of pressure but no pain unless flying when the plane is descending for landing.
