labyrinthitis or meniere's

I had a severe vertigo attack about ten weeks ago well running on a treadmill. I’ve done numerous test to rule-out a stroke or heart issues ( MRI, CT, heart test etc )

The ENT and neurologist diagnosed me with BPPV after reading others stories here I seem to think maybe I have  labyrinthitis or meniere's.

My very first week of vertigo my symptoms were

* Vertigo

* Anxiety

* Balance issue

* Vision issues ( anything moving )

* Dizzy

* Foggy brain

* Heavy legs

I have gotten better since week one, I feel like I’m in the 80% range.. now my symptoms are

* little tiny ringing in ear

* Sometimes fullness and popping in ear

* Little bit of brain fog

* Little dizzy at times

* Slight off balance

I have been doing my VRT twice a day for about three weeks and have show improvement. I go on daily thirty minute walks to stay active.

Also note during week eight I got a fever and comedown with bronchitis reallyBad for about a week. The doctor gave me some antibiotics, I’m not sure if that’s related since I’ve read most sickness comes before VN or labyrinthitis

    Your description of menieres disease is very accurate. It’s not pretty. During an episode your mind and body goes into fight or flight mode. I find it traumatic and exhausting.

    Episodes  can change for better or worse. It depends on how the inner ear fliud are maintained. I have been  taking a diuretic every day since my diagnosis and maintain a low sodium diet. I’m careful about my diet.  I still arrived at a sac decompression because it just worsened, maybe with age.  My worse attack came on a Sunday afternoon this year while I was just sitting and relaxing. As I previously mentioned, I was taken to the hospital because  there was no way I could stop the speed of the spinning.  They were too fast and debilitating. I was hospitalized for a week being sedated and the sac decompression subsequently. Remember, everyone  is so different.

     I find BPPV to be problematic at times too. Always mindful of  your movements/positioning. Some people have it couple of times and get repositioned and don’t have another for very long periods. Especially if they don’t have menieres disease.
