lax ligaments, not 100% sure what this means?

Hi I started s discussion quite a while ago now while I was waiting to see a knee specialist after having s torn cartilage ect. Well I had my consultation after the MRI scans today to be told my tear in the cartilage is gone which I thought was very odd seeing as my pain has bee. A lot worse these last couple of months. I was then told its just the way I was made and that I've got lax ligaments. I get trouble with my hips also and a year ago a managed to some how slightly dislocaste my shoulder in my sleep and I'm just wondering if this is all linked and if anyone has had this before. I've got to do physio to help my knees but I hope this isn't something I've got to put up with forever

Any help would be much appreciated

Not sure if anyone is still following this but after trying and trying again I started physio where I was told my knees aren't tracking properly (still not a helpful thing to be told) and yet again another thing to add to the list of problems I've been told I also was told if i hadn't had a clear mri scan like I had told them then my physio would of said that I have torn my ligaments as after examining my knees that's what it felt like to him and sounds like by everything I have explained. (So again another thing added to the list) I've been referred to a lower limb clinic in the hospital gym which basically is to build up all the muscles in my lower limbs but I was told by physio that my muscles are really strong so how this is going to be helpfull I don't know, I had my first session last Thursday (I have to do this for 6 weeks) and ever since this session my knees have been horrendous (pain, painful cracking, locking and swelling) and also it didnt do anything for my muscles atall becsuse my muscles are strong like i was told. Seems I'm still no further in finding out what's wrong/what I can do. Fed up is an understataement. I think im going to carry on with this lower limb clinic for the 6 weeks as asked so i can say ive tryed it and then i think I'm just going to have to start again (again) and get a second opinion.
