Left side head pressure, tender spot, neck issues

Hello, I am new here but I am a little concerned. I am a healthy 35yr old male however I have been dealing with left side head pressure for the last 5 weeks. I don't get a real bad headache but its mostly just pressure and its pretty much with me 24/7. I have noticed when I lay down or go to the gym with my headphones on it is not as bad but always there, I seem to feel it more when standing but again its always there even when sitting at my desk at work. I will list a few of my symptoms below in a moment but I did want to mention the last 2 years have been rough after going through a tough separation with my fiancée and only seeing my son a couple days a week instead of daily so my stress and anxiety was really bad for a while however I am dealing with that better now so I have a hard time believing this is stress related. I am a very anxious person and do not do well at the doctors, my blood pressure and heart rate go through the roof even just at a check up.
The last few months I have not felt like myself, I have had a bad stomach my whole life but it got worse around November 2015 and I was having chest pains and tightness, long story short I saw my doctor multiple times and was diagnosed with GERD and I also had an EKG and Stress Test Echo on my heart which all came out fine thank god. Now a couple months later I was finally feeling a little better, chest issues and stomach still kind of there but no where near as bad and then randomly get hit with this head pressure one Sunday night after just laying on my couch. I went to the doctor after 2 weeks of the head pressure and he tried 2 weeks of muscle relaxers thinking it was my neck, my neck is super tight especially left side where the head pressure is and he told me to stop going to the chiropractor. I was going to the chiropractor for just a couple months before all this happened because my neck and left shoulder always hurt (I work out in the gym and think part of it is from that, I used to lift very heavy but I don't as much anymore). The funny thing is a week before this head pressure started my chiropractor did his usual neck crack on both sides and I remember it almost hurting, feeling different then normal and sent pain through my head. I honestly wonder if he did something to me and if this is from my neck however almost 6 weeks and still feel the same? Advil doesn't do much, muscle relaxers didn't work. I am doing neck stretches and just bought a hand held massager this past week for my neck and head. My doctor did not think brain tumor at my visit based of my symptoms and said my reflexes were good. Sorry for the long post but hoping for some help, my doctor is now referring me to a neurologist but I am trying to hard to push it off a little more hoping it gets better, I have enough medical bills and I am trying to tell myself this has to be from my neck or something that will heal eventually. I know brain tumors are pretty rare but of course I am having anxiety over that.
Symptoms:
-left side head pressure 24/7.
-some pressure in left eye and ear but not terrible.
-neck issues, especially left side, recently got a massage and the massage therapist said my upper back and neck were extremely tight. Chiropractor although I haven't been in a few weeks doctors orders said my C-1 or 2 joint cant remember which one was out of place. I have been doing neck stretches and using a tennis ball.
-some lightheadedness and fatigue, nothing crazy and could be stress since I think about this and worry all day.
-just noticed this week I have a tender spot on the bone top left back side of head.
-no weight loss, no fever, appetite ok for the most part, stomach ache some days but no vomiting.
I do get a little bit of facial tingles in the left side of my cheek and especially my chin, it is not constant and comes and goes. This did start a couple months before this and I went to the dentist because I still have 3 of my wisdom teeth. He did say they could come out and my bottom right one was coming in a little crooked and could be causing some pressure. He did I could hold off for a bit and it wasnt an emergency and that could be causing some of my chin numbness and tingles. Also I am constantly popping my ears because they feel a little blocked and my nose feels a little congested but this has been going on for a while and is not something new, maybe allergies
Hopefully some suggestions and feedback will help, I will see neurologist if this doesn't improve but again I am trying to wait just a little longer on that.

Wow, that does sound like my symptoms even though mine isn't severe, thank God. But I do ache along the bottom left and sometimes right of my skull and it radiates into my temple and behind my eye..this could so be the answer. Thank you for sharing.

I haven't seen my neuro in a while but I do remember him mentioning that as a possibility, I will look it up and do some research tomorrow at work. I'm so over this, even right now as I'm typing my head is not good then I feel my neck and there's lumps and sore spots and tightness and no matter how much I stretch I just can't fix it is my scalp is tender in certain spots and where my head pressure is! When my wife massages my neck and scalp it helps but it's temporary.

I have done all these symptoms for well over a year. Knots in neck, aches, pains. Mri, ultra sound all showed muscle and yes spinal spondylosis) as well. The way they talked mild. Mmmmm. Erll the best thing I've tried I'd lemon essential oil massaged in achy spots on neck. It truly does help for a couple hours, but hey, that's a couple hours I dnt have to ache. I do have acid reflux with globus...ahhhh..that still workin on, even tho ACV helps somewhat..hope you find something that will help you..

Hi kg81,
I have had all of your symptoms for about a year. Because I had a stiff neck and aches between shoulder blades my doctor sent me for xrays. I thought I had fibromyalgia or Lyme disease because my symptoms were similar to both. However my rheumatologist dismissed both (even though I never had a Lymes test). I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck and spine which showed up quite clearly on xrays, early stages. I went for physiotherapy but it made me feel giddy. I am waiting for an ENT appointment for my tinnitus. I get some good days and some bad days. When my neck pain is bad I get headaches and muzziness. My neck cricks and I can hear the noises in my ears. I am tired a lot and don't do the things I used to do. I have looked up neck osteoarthritis (spinal spondylosis) and all of my symptoms fit. Some people get it without symptoms but others like me do. No cure just painkillers and gentle neck exercises. Thought I would mention this as my symptoms sounded very similar to yours. Good luck and best wishes.

I have the same like you, early stages of osteoarthritis in my neck, but i have pain since more then a year. Every day pain, nothing touch the pain. Now i started to go again for PT, massage, but i don t have many hopes, i did this before. No pill can touch the pain, i have also tinnitus but only on my left ear. Pain is only on left side, neck shoulder, shoulder blade. Good luck.

Hey Kg81
It seems like I got the same thing. Like tingling sensation on the topleft side and sometimes above the eye. I got an MRI and came up clear. Went to a neurologist and he said it was stress and should eventually go away. I have had it for about 3 months now waking up and going to sleep. If I put pressure on the left side it goes away. Also I've found that sitting at home and playing computer games can make it worse and going outside and doing things makes it better. Especially running at the gym and basketball. Anyway felt like sharing and enjoyed hearing from everyone. Would like it to eventually go away and hope it's nothing serious..
Good luck and keep me posted

Fiorocet works really well . It doesn't have Euphoric/ or doesn't get you high properties. Yet the doctor will evaluate you for addictive behavior. I believe that is due top the caffeine or mayb because the ease it gives you

Did you have any side effects? My dr prescribed me Fiorocet as well as sumitriptan which I was nervous to take. I really don't like medicine. However, the tingling is so annoying. I believe it's partly stressed related. Trying to calm down and relax, so hard.

Hey buddy,
I have the same exact symptoms that you've described but they're on the right side of my head, not the left like yours. I understand completely how you're worried because I am the same. I'm a massive worrier, and have been most of my life. I'm a 26yr old male btw. I first went to my doctors and told him I was freaking out and out my head and I was just told that it was tension related. Like almost a subconscious tightening of the muscles on my head due to how much I worry about everything, especially my health.
You know I've done the stupid thing and looked up my symptoms on the Internet. But after getting past the extreme worrying of thinking I have a brain tumor I have seen a pattern. Pretty much everyone who has written a post or a blog about a strange sensation in their head has also said that they have anxiety. So logically it must have something to do with that. At first I sort of didn't believe my doctor when he told me it was tension and anxiety, as if he was giving me a quick answer. But I think there's some credence to it now.
I've been a nervous person since I was about 8 and had a pretty bad day of vomiting in school. And on some level I was changed forever and I'm still feeling the effects of it now.
I'd love to know how you are now, I noticed that your original post was from some time ago. I've only been feeling like this for the last 2/3 weeks. I've had a pressure/tight feeling in my head on the right side. Its slightly moved around from my temple to the back of my head. Sometimes I feel as though my face has some tingling down my right cheek. I've experienced some slight dizziness but nothing too bad. No nausea but I get nauseous every now and then just because I'm an anxious person. I haven't actually thrown up in years. And I haven't blacked out, so I should really stop worrying about the worst, easier said than done I'm sure you know.
All the best,
Andy

Andy, I too have b such strange sensations in my head. Tingling along side of face mm and chin area at times. Sometimes my head feels so strange like almost dizzy yet not. I can't really describe it. I get the pressure sensation along temple area at times and sometimes it goes behind my eye.. I have no idea except stress related is all I can figure as well. Iv had an catscan, and ultrasound..all showed nothing ..I do have Tinnitis in the ears, a tight muscle in my neck left side, and avid reflux with globus..not sure if all is related

Hi guys , I started to expirience this kind of symptoms about a 3 weeks ago basically out of nowhere , so i was on anti-depressants for my anxiety for so long and after that i stopped them for some time so i wasn't having any issues at the first but after several weeks i started to feel like similar to these symptoms more severe after i nap in the day after work :
- fitague
-loss of energy after eating
-left side pressure or discomfort in the ear , behind the eyes around the teeth neck area
- loss of focus during it
- confusion
- chin discomfort which is causing all the head issues
My sleeping is well , Also I forgot to mention Lightheadedness the thing is every symptoms come and go around the day depends but the head discomfort is always there i had been almost i every psyhological problem so i know this is nowhere near psyschological issue , So iam planning today to do alot of tests reply if somone have similar things , Also i forgot to mention that there is no pain in this state. I was talkin with my docotors some of them said that it was a some thyroid problems i'll get checked or lymps problem i gotta check that also , some of my friend was jokin that some bug went into my ear to cause that huge discomfort but i didn't take that but ill count on that also and check it . Anyone who got some news can reply if somone found a solution especially OP cause i think mine are very similar to his symptoms .
