Can you suggest 800mg once a day. Or twice a day?

Hi guys, Any of you guys on diuretics? Here's why I ask. I take one tablet of torsemide twice a week, I've kept track the last three times I have taken this drug. A few hours after swallowing the pain starts. What the hell?

I have all the above issues, i have been and seen my GP last Wednesday when i got back off my honeymoon. I have done my bloods and urine, awaiting the results. She also put me on Doxycycline which i finished this morning. My discomfort is worse and i am awaiting a scan appointment.
Whilst on my honeymoon the pain build up and i checked myself as it was bad, on my tubes to my left testical a big lump had formed about the size of a 2p coin (british). I took some pain meds and tried not to make it worsw during the night. It hand gone by the next day, has anyone else had this?

No I didn't have any swelling. The pain started when I leaned on my right side; I must have compressed that bit too much.
I'm sorry that this happens to you on your honeymoon tho.
Good luck!

Yes, I have the answer. I work up this morning with a very sharp pain in my lower abdomin and testicles. I like to think that I'm pretty tough, but it was hard for me to stand. I took the recommended doce of pepto bismol and laid down with my knees bent facing the ceiling. It may hurt at first but you'll feel a relief if you slowly pull your knees into your chest then hold them there for 2-5minutes and then relax your legs again. (I would recommend to do this without pants if you can to relax your junk) I laid down for about 10min after this and I felt fine. I was able to get up, walk around and continue with my day. I tried other things like massaging the testicles and ice, but if I have the same issue as you then it won't help. Hope this helps out

IF after they do not find anything wrong with you and your issue is only pain related ....do yourself a favor and do a few rounds of ACUPUNCTURE ...that will take that pesky pain away ....it did for me .
Again ...that just takes care of the pain ....no any ongoing issue that may be causing it...
Good luck

I also faced from the problem like you it might help you.
The paine was worse while sitting and while riding a bike. It started in my right testicle the goes to the left one, then it goes to me left leg.
I took lots of antibiotics and same as you all tests was normal.
I suffered from this pain for 6 months went
To 10-15 doctors but it was same pain. Then one day I went to govt. Hospital the doctor told me to do kidney ultrasound. I thought there is no relation between kidney and testicles, I thought the doctor was mad but I went for ultrasound and then I surprised after that they found 3 stones from my kidneys 2 on right side and 1 one left side.
Now I'm taking my kidney stone medicine and bro I'm good now there is no pain in my testicles.
I suggest you to please go for kidney ultrasound.
The leg tightening is one of the main symptom of kidney stone.
Hope you will be well soon.

Hello to all, If any of you feel like its some sort of infection you are right, It is related to the herpes virus, I have had this virus most of my life, since a child, rears its head when I am run down, overworked, stressed. As I got older early 40's I started to have issues such as the symptoms you are all expressing.. As like you all I took my place in the line of what is it ? answered by we don't know.. Then due to worry of my situation I had a cold sore outbreak, I then started my 400mg tablets of aciclovirs lovir. And after the end of my course I realized my pain was gone.. It has too be a viral infection. a bug related to the herpes virus.

I was tested for infections, blood cell count, and inflammatory markers . They were normal. I've taken antibiotics and they never helped. I think mine is actually related to a metabolic disorder.

Just similar pain to bazza1, mine started after I had sex with someone. I have taken doses of Antibiotics and other drugs to no avail. Although sometimes the drugs subsides the pain. My question is, could it still possibly be the herpes virus, also viral infections don't have a permanent cure, did the herpes drugs you took solve your problems permanently?......Too many questions I guess

Hello,
I've "only" been suffering around a month now. (Seeing some of you suffering for years?!)
Noticed when I laid down at night ache in left or right testicle (varied). Started wearing supportive pants to bed and the aches had gone. 2 weeks later they returned. The ache travels from either testicle to the same side leg, hip, lower back.
I went to doctor's thought I was a UTI and got given Doxycycline for 14 days. Didn't take the ache away. Seen my gp, urologist 4/5 times and been checked thoroughly. They can't find anything. Ibuprofen/paracetamol doesn't touch it.
Mainly notice it in the evenings.
Ultrasound appointment for my testicles tomorrow. Blood tests to be done Thursday.
Seen a physio said he can't spot anything that would cause testicular aches.
The worry is worse than the pain for me. It's just a dull ache that seems to be getting more noticeable during daytime as well.
It's affecting my sleep now.
Any help/advise would be awesome chaps!

Hi Nick,
I've just read your account and it's amazing how similar your problem is to mine. My story briefly:
I'm 49, had prostatitis for past 2 years (not constantly that heavens!); started getting a pain in left testicle 3 months ago which I hoped would pass but hasn't; saw my uro a week ago and he prescribed 2 week course of doxycycline. No success yet. He thought it might be epididymitis after he examined me. I too find the pain/discomfort worse at night and it seems to ease a bit with underpants on - though flares up sometimes during the day. Sometimes I find Ibuprofen helps a little but only if pain is mild. Tried ice packs, pelvic floor exercises, walking miles - but I can't say for sure if anything has really helped yet. To complicate matters, I had a bladder neck op 6 weeks ago to improve urine flow and whilst I don't think the two issues are related, the op pain hasn't helped - nor did two 5 day courses of Ciprofloxacin! (That drug is pretty scary!) I'm seeing my uro again in a month and will ask him about other tests/scans that could be done. That said, I'm not sure if my problem is to do with nerves. I have an ongoing problem with my sacroiliac joint that flares from time to time. This also gives me a pain in my left buttock - almost like hip pain. Had MRI scan and X-ray - nothing much found other than usual wear and tear for my age - but it could be possibly the pundendal nerve - or another nerve - getting trapped/squashed. I've been trying out some exercises I found on You Tube - search for Gary Crowley - has had a couple of videos on testicular pain and he may be onto something. I need to try his recommended exercises more consistently than I have to date to see if they help. Might be worth a try for you. I've convinced my lovely wife that more sex might help clear the tubes, but no success yet! I'm also going to go down the herbal route again soon if no improvement as quercetin and bromelain helped with my prostatitis, as I think did pumpkin seed oil. Both are anti inflammatories.
It helps to know other men are going through the same thing, but we all know how despairing and nauseating that ache can be. You have my sincere sympathies, but good luck in your quest. Nothing lasts forever - that's one consolation at least!

Hi Nick,
I'm sorry to hear you are suffering as well! It's more of an annoyance more than anything else. I dread waking in the mornings to the uncomfortable aches over and over again.
I'm 29 and can't see no light at the end of the tunnel as it were. I'm taking 2 200mg ibuprofen every 4 hours but I cant say whether that is helping or me changing my posture or seating position which is helping. I'm just getting tired of it now. Roll on 6.15pm today for my ultrasound and Thursday morning for my blood tests! It's the not knowing which is causing the distress.
Your wife sounds like a keeper lol. I will YouTube this bloke see if his exercises help. My physio gave me some exercises he thought it could be SPD which is very common in pregnant women and male athlete's. But everything I've read doesn't cover anything regarding testicular ache so I don't know, it's probably another dead end.
My Cantonese friend has recommended accupuncture as his mum does it and says it can be a godsend for unknown aches and pains throughout the body. So might be worth a shot.
Fingers crossed for everyone suffering.
